Are you trying to write in stanzas? Don't worry about offending me, I can take different views, no matter how hard they might hit. I was just confused by what you were saying since it seemed really bizarre and you were talking about some people seeing a 'spirit realm' and seeing some sort of group hallucinations. Sorry if I came off as abrasive, I've had my own share of experiences I can't really explain, but the way you presented what you were saying is different than what I'm used to. 3425
The Flood / Re: I just stumbled upon a rather interesting read« on: April 17, 2015, 11:14:22 PM »Eh, it depends. For me I tend to remember the ones that were either fun or traumatic. The average ones just get lost in my mind and are only accessible when I'm in that dream state of mind.Well yeah but I thought you were supposed to remember most of them, I basically never doAccording to science, you have them every night in REM sleep, but you just don't always remember them.I also rarely ever have dreams so that is another factorwait so if I expect nothing to happen will I just be standing in an empty void of nothing like what happened to SquidwardThe problem I see is that your dreams don't always just go with however you want them to. So, are you incoherently rambling for any good goal? Because going on about spirit realms, seeing things, blah, blah seems like a plea for attention, confusion based on hallucinations in the past, or desperately wanting something to be true and due to a large gap of ignorance you're making things up to try to fill in that gap. 3427

The Flood / Re: I just stumbled upon a rather interesting read« on: April 17, 2015, 11:00:43 PM »The mind drags the experience out. You've noticed this before when you have a dream that felt like it was really long, when in actuality little time had passed. The brain only drags it out so far, so even with this "river" of the chemical, you would still end the dream with you actually dying. For lack of a better term, I suppose you would wake up dead. The whole thought is really weird though. Living for eternity in the past. Like, Hammurabi would still be alive right now, though he's been decomposed to bones thousands of years ago if you get where I'm going at.What happens if you're completely vaporized though?well, if you're vaporized fast enough I'd assume that you wouldn't get this experience since the pineal gland never gets a chance to kick in 3429

Gaming / Re: So Cortana's death scene« on: April 17, 2015, 08:15:41 PM »it's just using logicSo, you shouldn't have a female character, because that can only mean that you want to arouse male gamers? They gave her a female form because her gender is female, that's pretty darn simple. Well, her character traits were pretty consistent, overall. The only thing that really changed was her model, which changed over time because, y'know, you have more resources and can now make her look more human and realistic. Does she look sexualized? It's kind of hard for her not to seeing as how she's technically naked, but focusing on that would be completely ignoring her personality and who she is. She's not just some pretty model, she's the reason the supersoldier male protagonist stayed alive during what they went through. Now that I think of it, it's really appropriate in a way. Chief is always in his armor, never do we see his human body, his feature, he's entirely closed off. Whereas Cortana is outright exposed, even as an AI, a machine, she shows all the human features, expressions, and thought that Chief hides behind his armor. 3441

I really don't think Halsey would've been allowed access to make another clone of herself and more or less kill it to make another Cortana.
But yeah, the ending is terribly awkward. First time I saw it I was just utterly confused as it seemed so horribly out of place. Even seeing it recently it's still very awkward, the dialogue is bizarre, there are things implied that probably weren't meant to be and those things make it even more awkward(Honestly, do you really think so many people thought 343i were making Cortana and Chief a couple for no reason?), and the whole nuke thing by itself is mind-numbing. Chief was pretty much standing on top of the ship, so about half of that blast should've gone off into space. Isn't the Didact's banana ship made out of majorly hardlight, or at least coated, how does Cortana's hardlight beat the warship's? How does the nuke magically get blocked by the hardlight when Chief's hands are holding the side of it and on the detonator? Why is Chief perfectly okay inside the hardlight box, but as soon as it goes away he's just laying there like he's crippled? How did Cortana talk to Chief inside his suit after the podium her chip was put into got blasted by the Didact? And like you said, how does she generate the hardlight box for Chief if everything outside is destroyed, where is she? 3447
