Posted by: urk We're going to give you more control. You're going to freak out for a minute. Then you're going to give us great feedback and we're going to make stuff better.
But, yes, it will be like reading an Elder Scroll. Just before you receive the divine wisdom you so desire -- just as you are about to grasp hold of the meaning of it all -- you will be driven mad, and then you will be blinded.
By the awesome. Tfw he lied to us...
He was right about being blinded.

Why was the opening cinematic of the game released?
To make more hype like it did with the britbong in charge of this thread. You don't release a cinematic like that with intent other than to generate wows and buzz.

Also because I'm tired and crabby I'm just going to enquire for the nth time as to why people feel obligated to post in threads with nothing but 'HURR WEEBS ANIME IS CANCER' we get it you insecure bastards, you don't like chinese cartoons. So kindly take your repetitive opinion spamming and sod off.

I told people to stop saying it, so they started saying it all the time.
That's the definition of how the internet works for you, right there.

In Halo Wars you can sometimes hear a Spartan yell 'for Samuel!', so I suppose they do mourn him in their own way.
References have story relevance now?
...Yes?
they don't
it's just a references
I'm not sure what point you're trying to make. Yes, it's a reference to Sam. Every Spartan was angry that he died. What of it?
that Spartans are emotionally dead
"John wiped away the condensation that formed over her helmeted head. She was neither dead or alive. She was in some twilight place in between. That uncertainty was worse than seeing her broken and burned body on Gamma Station. It felt like an open wound in John's chest."-First Strike p.186

I hate this thing.
When I saw an enemy warzone boss kill a player in one second flat I almost died

He's 6'10" out of armour and 7'2" in armour
Wait, when did he grow 2" in armor?

That cinematic at the end of H4 isn't accurate anyway. He's only a few inches taller than her.

God people are such fucking buzzkills
It's fast paced, explosions, crashing through things, running and gunning, and sweeping camera angles. How am I wrong?
You say it like there's a problem
There's nothing wrong with Michael Bay.

Title seems to be a bit off, that cinematic was nothing special.
Directed by Michael Bay

Where I live there aren't and the ones that are assholes ride in the street. The ones that aren't as much assholes go on the sidewalk when cars come by. The ones that aren't at all assholes just go on the sidewalk, and apparently beyond the understanding of the members here, pedestrians walk on the grass or the other side when bikes pass.

"That helmet's structural integrity triggers me"
>this whole thread
You guys are so critical about the most irrelevant bullshit, its a game, calm yourselves.
I'm the only one complaining about that shit, bruv, and I'm already calm. Calm down yourself kiddo.

I wonder if they're going to show off Forge at any point between now and release. I can't imagine they just swept it under the rug.
Forge has always been shown closer to launch. Halo 3's was shown like a week before release.
True, but haven't they all been shown off at conventions since Reach? Wondering what would be a likely time that they'd unveil it.
halp4 was shown at RTX.

My favorite part in Halo 2 is the levels in High Charity.
Holy fuckballs it's gorgeous in H2A.
There's a ton of lighting in the Flood section though, it just kills the atmosphere so hard.

Only in a halo thread do people argue over a fucking fish bowl helmet
A fish bowl has more structural integrity than that helmet.

Looks okay. Linda and Kelly helmets are still cringe though.
umm, kelly's helmet is great though
linda's is hilarious though
It's hilarious if you understand how structural integrity work.
Are you referring to the square-cut lines in her visor severely undercutting the pressure her helmet could take before cracking? That and the unnecessarily bulbous shape.
That as well as the curving inward as it goes down. it's hilarious if you think it matters in a video game I'm sorry that as someone with an interest in physical mechanics and armor, I can't help but laugh and cringe at the ridiculous shit 343i comes up with on a regular basis.

Currently on that boss battle on legendary. Fuckin' honour guards. My carbine is out of ammo.
Regret is a bitch on legendary.
one of the most toughest levels in h2
The level as a whole was pretty easy. No worse than any other. Just this boss battle. With no headshot weapon ammo, and my fuel rod out of ammo, I'm struggling to take down honour guards.
I gave up on taking down the honor guards and just kept running laps like a bitch 90% of the time.
