since when?
She's always been one of his closest friends
So have Kelly and Fred.
I never said they weren't his close friends

lol why do people use the chest scarring as an argument piece for chief's armour not being because of nanobots
it's official that the in-universe explanation is because of nanobots
Because 343i did some fairly stupid shit, and I assume people want to write it off as artistic interpretation to try to defend 343, while 343 doesn't give a single fuck.
Or you know, instead of wasting time using separate models for a single mission

Like how the BR85HB is on the FuD instead of the BR55HB

Or like how the FuD is a completely different model and shape than than it used to be.
The Halo 3 FuD is the canonical version
Are you telling me that 343i finally did break canoes?

Sometimes I forget that Bungie was a Halo site and this came from that. Feels weird being surrounded by Halo fans and not being one.
umm, this is an MLP offsite, and is in no way affiliated with Bungie
Oh, I didn't know that. There's loads of people here from Bnet so I thought it was a site made for those members who didn't want to deal with Bungie's shit
yeah, this is a legit mlp site. cheat and flee are bronies. we just hijacked it.
What

Really
Are you pulling my leg

I have a really shitty Winchester knife that I found on the beach, its duller than a butter knife.

Does it look like this?

Spoiler
No, like this.

Oh shit lol have you ever sharpened it?
I think my father tried but it didn't work out very well. When we found it the tip was broken off.
the tip is still here dude

you just have to grind metal away to unveil it
We had to grind it to get it to look the way it does now, although neither my dad or I collect knives so it could probably be better.
It'll be smaller if you give it an edge again, but other than that it should be fine. I don't know what trick there is to sharpening serrations, though.

My friend just told me that the opening cinematic looked awful.

He said that it reminded him if the power rangers and then gave me a list of reasons on why Halo isn't realistic.

I garuntee whatever he plays isnt much more realistic
Watch as he only plays Arma

If I wanted to try the Metal Gear series, would this be a good game to pick up? Or is there a better game in the series to start with?

It'd be best to play MGS3 and Peace Walker first, but I suppose you could start right in the middle of it. You'd miss a lot of information and callbacks to older games though.
I don't know how you could do it without being horrendously lost. I watched the edited movie versions of mgs1, 3, 4, and parts of Peacewalker and I still had to Google some shit to feel like I understand the plot.

Honestly, that cutscene was kind of shitty. Spartans are super soldiers, but they're not magical  superheroes that can gayly skip down a sheer mountainside tearing dozens of enemies apart.
They are now

This is the closest representation to the Spartans in the canon we've had in any of the games
This isn't planned strategy, this is blind running and gunning. I don't recall any of that aside from maybe once in the books. It hits the standard action super hero stuff by having it look really cool and shiny, but just because something is painted gold doesn't mean it is.
