I find that doubtful. This isn't the most realistic universe, anyway.

Yeah, you're right. I would've liked a more dynamic Eli, though, and I was maybe hoping that an "older" version of him (in his late teens) could help in that regard.
Would've been nicer too if Eli hadn't been pissed off at Big Boss before he even met the guy. If he had developed his hatred of Big Boss entirely from getting his ass kicked routinely, and figured out after a while that BB was his dad, then I could've appreciated the Eli wanting to prove himself a bit more. Really just seems odd how he inherently knows so much.

He was raised by the Patriots in Britain, so I guess they told him about Big Boss and his twin (but altered the story to their advantage, naturally).
But why? Nobody told Solid Snake shit his whole life, why would they bother telling Liquid before he was 12?

It would be impossible to engineer the genes to say "once you hit 40, you're going to slowly die", y'know?

Plus Solid Snake looked older than 35 in MGS2.

His look is off, though. He should look like he's 16 or 17, not 11 or 12.
But he is like 12.

Accelerated aging, nigga.
Did they ever say when it kicked in?

The only reason he caught traction is because his aesthetics and persona struck a cord with a lot of people, and now we have a mildly interesting villain with an albeit cool vibe to him as the recurring antagonist, despite the fact that he has no particularly interesting character traits to ride home about besides his visual appearance.
Or it could be that he is a ruthless character that is the main antagonist in the film, but sure.

my high school didn't let kids bring backpacks to class
I don't believe you.
Mine didn't, ether. Apart from being a MASSIVE inconvenience, it's also fucking retarded for reasons I shouldn't even have to explain. Like, if I were to be carrying a bomb or weapon in my backpack, there's no rule stopping me from utilizing it in the fucking hallway.
What weird schools you people go to.
The ones in Michigan.
I went to HS in a Detroit suburb, and there was no ridiculous rule banning backpacks. People in my school barely even used lockers, we just brought bags everywhere.
My Middle School in a Detroit suburb banned backpacks being taken out of your locker in between classes.

and turned Halsey from a conflicted "this is for the greater good" to generic mad scientist.

The only change is that we don't see SPARTAN-II from her perspective anymore, and thus aren't meant to sympathize with her or overlook the fact that she's responsible for the kidnapping, indoctrination, and deaths of at least 75 children. Sure, she sees herself as doing it for the greater good, but everyone else sees her as a mad scientist.
Now I'm just saying, but 75 children as the price to pay to save the universe is laughably nothing.

Maybe it's the 40k in me where 75 million deaths is chump change, but that's not really that horrific going by the body counts courtesy of the covenant.

It was pure coincidence that SPARTAN-II wound up winning the war against the Covenant. Literally nobody could have predicted an alien attack before the project was executed.

And even though it did end up saving humanity that doesn't change the fact that 75 children were torn from their families and put to work as experimental soldiers, if they weren't killed outright.
There were already millions dead from the Insurrection, bruh.

And?
There were already millions dead and millions more dying was seemingly inevitable. 75 children being abducted as child soldiers to stop millions more deaths was worth it in the situation.

Just because it was justified doesn't mean it was forgivable.
You can't forgive something that was just, huh?

I'll amend that to necessary. Nothing was just about it.
Eh, I guess.

Like I said in the political topic  I never speak Religion or Politic with people. It can turn even the best of friends into enemy that and I don't like forcing thing onto people. I am Christian that is all

eyy no hate, just having some fun. i'm bashing the movie over the religion associated with it.
A friend described the ending to me and I can only wonder if it was made by people who wanted to make the religion look bad.

I just found a somewhat major spoiler while browsing r/halo...not going to post it even in a spoiler tag unless someone really wants me to.

PM it to me, PM it to me! I love spoilers!
I'll just put it here in spoiler brackets, it is no longer on reddit. You've been warned guys.

Spoiler
The Guardians were created to protect the Forerunners, but now they are controlled by a new master.
Sounds pretty dumb tbh

I just spent 30min trying to kill a heli by dropping tanks on it, and only managed to get it to catch on fire.

was it one of those red tanks

those things are a bitch to take out
I've never seen a red tank, but I painted all my tanks red. It was on the mission where you need to take out the armored convoy heading to the airport. All I wanted was to kill the helicopter by dropping things on it, but it wouldn't die.

the side missions for eliminating the tank unit eventually get red tanks and choppers and theyre way harder to kill
lol I just ran up and fultoned it before it could shoot.

what's with 343i's obsession with throwing a white stripe across anything made by the UNSC?
because bungie were already doing it to unsc stuff?

god you people are nitpicky af
There was a yellow one on the fugly AR in Reach, that's about it though.
huh

Two of those were the same thing. Spartans have always had colored stripes since Halo 3.
The Forward unto Dawn and In Amber Clad are the same thing?

They aren't even the same type of ship
Those models are from Halo 3 and ODST. They're near identical.
and that supports your previous statement, how?

bungie had beer slapping white stripes on shit for years before 343 came along
They did it on a few things, it's gotten far more common.
A few meaning a bunch of ships, 90% of Reach's armour, and some weapons
Yeah, that 1 ship twice sure proves your point.
yeah, those two ships from different games

let's just forget all the other stuff, though
You're right, Halo 3 and ODST are such different games, no similarities at all, no reused assets either.
it's not like they didn't change anything between the two models or anything
like what?
