I think the worst decision they've made so far is to show the story of the 30 years between VI and VII through shitty YA novels. Aftermath was unreadable after a couple pages.
Since when is there canon between the two?

The line of books "Journey to the Force Awakens" takes place after RotJ. They're young adult novels, and suck ass so far.
I'd be more surprised if really good novels came out to be honest.

Hitler was a garbage leader

>Delayed his baddass weaponry that would have won the war
>Invaded Europe like a moron
>Never listened to the guys who actualy knew what they were doing
>Killed the Jew who could have funded his gayass war
>Went full Napoleon and ignored the weather in FUCKING RUSSIA because he was that much of a dumbass
Is this supposed to be some meta-level comment, because this is a garbage post?

Gaming / Re: So who's excited for working Halo Custom games?
« on: October 21, 2015, 05:52:35 PM »
I'd rather wait a month and have it work than have it launch buggy and broken ala Halo 4.

Of course if it did launch broken, those complaining now would complain it should have been delayed.
You're assuming that them delaying it guarantees it will be fully functional, and that they don't cut corners and content to get it working decently.  They have handled it poorly in the past, and it could be a sign that they're trying to make up for it, but it could also just be that they're generally poor at handling it.

The Flood / Re: I think Hayden Christensen is an "okay" actor
« on: October 20, 2015, 09:55:17 PM »
Yeah when you're an inexperienced actor dropped into the lead role of a sci fi film with a horrible script and no direction, you're probably not going to have the best performance. Even with that considered, he did a passable job. It's easy for viewers to see the glaring problems with Anakin's character and just blame Christensen. Natalie Portman went on to win an oscar and her performance was just as bad.

I also don't understand the overwhelming hate for the "I don't like sand" line. It wasn't exactly compelling dialogue but I don't see why it's always singled out above any of the lines between Anakin and Padme that were much worse.
RedLetterMedia and some other outlets repeatedly played the line out of any solid context, making it sound terribly silly and absurd. Thanks to them, it spread like fire.

Is there a way to appeal a ban on waypoint?
From my experience I would suggest sacrificing a minimum of 3 goats on the altar while singing the praises of 343i and the Terms of Service.

Was just thinking about how the 2nd amendment of the US Constitution was to allow a militia to organize and overthrow the government if it became tyrannical or overstepped its bounds and decided to check if it was actually legal to overthrow the government. Because, why would the founders have made it illegal to overthrow the government if they wanted people to be able to do it?

Turned out in 1948 it was made illegal to conspire to do so, but I can't find any trace of it being a thing before. Thoughts on this?

Nothing is in letter grades, but at this moment I'm okay to good in classes, asides from computing which I should have go up soon God willing. Unless the cold embrace of death comes for me first, which doesn't really sound that bad.

What I don't understand are the people who say things like "political correctness is killing us" as if being a dick and offending/marginalizing people is some sort of cornerstone of our society. Why not try to be a respectful human being?
It is always the best thing to strive for to be respectful and logical, but I see no good in disallowing certain terms and words to give those of weaker will some false sense of being. If what is being discussed is torture, it is best to call it that, not enhanced interrogation techniques. If someone is mentally slow, they are mentally retarded; and likewise retard(ed) is not inappropriate when used in the context of something/someone being slow. For example, "congress is retarded" is a phrase that I highly doubt many in academia and beyond would approve of, yet it is true as congress is indeed slow and inefficient at its doings. Instead to convey the same message with a politically correct/sensitive culture, we must use different phrasings and  these are likely to not truly convey the same intent and meaning. However, some people will feel better as a certain word was avoided, and now some retards might not have their feelings hurt.

I don't know why disrespect and hurling insults would be something only political correctness could stop. To me it seems completely logical that these things would filter themselves out, as if other people act rational the disrespectful and shit-flinger will be disregarded unless their shit-flinging happens to have some kernel of truth within.
