My university has so far been the antithesis of what I was made out to believe people would be acting like. Even the gender studies majors are pretty chill and rational about things. My critical thinking teacher also gave me an A on our final when I just ranted about PC for a couple questions.
where do you go to school?
University of Detroit Mercy. It's a private Jesuit university, so that helps I imagine.
Oh for sure lol

I'm at an east coast public liberal arts university, so the crazies are out in full force here.
I've yet to encounter the dreaded "liberal academia" at my university either, well at least not with the professors. I can't say the same concerning the student body. Most of my history professors have been Republican or center-right. One of the political science professors is actually a libertarian.
>Oklahoma or whatever flyover state
You're in real America

Urban North Carolina is to the South as California is to America.
I've had two professors plug Sanders' website repeatedly during class.
Wow. That website is objective shit. It doesn't even list sources and gives out statistics and claims.

Seriously, cis people talk about trans people more than we do

You fuckers need to chill

"CIS" people don't exist, that's a label made up by SJWs to feel better about themselves
ladies and gentlemen, exhibit a for why this isnt really a serious board.
Dismissing the beliefs of others, no matter how ridiculous they seem to you, is a mindset that inevitably harms free-thinking and progress.

If someone has a radically different perception of a subject than you, consider why they have it; certainly don't leap to they're wrong, immature, knuckle-draggers. Think about where they come from, what are their fundamental beliefs, and how did they get to that perception they hold. Then, if you desire to, engage them in debate about where you think they go wrong and appeal to them appropriately.

For someone who, as I recall, holds up the virtue of logic I find it remarkable you consistently act this way towards others.
that might hold up if we weren't talking about midg. he constantly makes ridiculous, outrageous, inflammatory claims that he doesnt back up with sources. he's demonstrated an unwillingness to entertain ideas contrary to his own. essentially, he's a confirmed troll and the way he acts in this board should not be acceptable. you should be able to understand that, given his history here.

point me to other incidents like this and ill gladly answer for each of them in turn.
Plenty of times he doesn't care or believe what he's saying, so it's fair to just ignore those comments or laugh them off.
on the flood and gaming, sure. on the serious board, we should not tolerate it.

Offhand, the "everyone is a mini-Hitler so I've been downvoting everyone" spiel did not help with your impression. I try not to care much about peoples' views on here in general, frankly I'm not even sure what possessed me to write that out, so I hope you'd pardon me for not keeping a list of examples. But I just feel like it's a thing you have been doing a noticeable amount, along with others on here of course.

AP Psychology. I passed well enough for my college to count it, but I never bothered to check what my score was.

I took AP Euro History for a semester, but the class was garbage and I'd rather have spent the time sticking slivers of wood into my sphincter so I dropped it. Then again, most AP courses at my school were handled like that.

To be fair, most accounts I've heard of TW3 have more or less agreed that while the game world is pretty, there's not much to fill it. I haven't played the game (not really interested), so I can't really say more than that.

However, I am glad Bethesda spent more time including the gameplay in Fallout and adding stuff like weather systems, as opposed to just fancy graphics. My only real gripe for Fallout on the technical is the 30fps framerate on consoles.
The map has locations(caves, buildings, nests, treasure) all over the place, and usually you can barely go around in the wild for 30 seconds without running into something. Hell, there's even the partial skull of a dragon that's mentioned in some of the side quests out in some swamps. I don't know where someone would get the idea that the world is empty.
Yeah. The Witcher 3 is far from empty. I do enjoy exploring in Fallout 4 more. But as far as quests go. The Witcher 3 shits all over it. The writing is just better plain an simple.
Those feelings I got when I was at that orphanage in the swamp.
Spoiler
When you go there one of the kids makes a comment about the Barron's wife crying every time a kid gets lost in the swamp. Due to drowners being everywhere I figured a kid wonders out and they get them, but nope. Latter on the whole point of the trail of treats is to bait in kids for the Barron's wife to take care of them just so they could be eating. God damn those feelings when you look back on that comment that kid made. Every time the women cries due to a kid being lost in the swamp. She is actually crying because a kid she was "taking care of" ended up getting eating but those witches.
Spoiler
Yeah. First time through when I found that tree spirit. I was like, well this guy seems evil. But the Witches trapped him here, so maybe he'll kill them. And he said he'd save the children. So I freed him. Next thing I know. He destroyed an entire village and killed everyone in it. Downwarren I think. I was like, well that was a mistake. Then The Barron hangs himself. Was like, the fuck. Fuck this game. On my NG+ playthrough, which I'm still far from finishing, I killed him this time. Ends much better that way. The kids were eaten. But at least Donwarren and the Barron are safe.
For the Fyke Isle's quest I love that there's an ending where you majorly fucked up. You think you're doing the right thing at first but in the end you ended up getting used. Then there's that Elf girl at the well which is getting harassed. If yo go in and drive the guys off you get bitched at by her because of you being a white knight. In the end what she said is true due to you not doing anything at all to put a stop to it. Back to the kids at the swamp the developers did a darker version of Hansel & Gretel and then there's Bethesda who turned the kids at megaton into potted plants if you detonated the nuke.

Anybody that says this game is empty or a disappointment has no idea at all what they're talking about. When it comes to a story there's a shit load of quest endings and there's even details about the littlest of things. Which would be things like some of the vendors having a little back story to them. Yes in Skyrim there's some vendors you learn something about, but it's just in a single sentience unlike this game which is slightly more. The vendors in this game have about as much backstory to them as what the followers in Fallout 3 and Skyrim have.
One thing that's undeniable is The Witcher 3 does a fantastic job at making your actions, even the ones that seem negligible, have serious consequences, and sometimes in ways you couldn't expect. The main questline kicks ass at this.

On little details, I still am impressed they placed part of the skeleton of the dragon Witcher George slew in the swamp west of crookback bog. Oddly enough, I can't find any pictures of it on Google, so I don't know how many other people even noticed this.

A few good complaints I've seen are relating to characters from Witcher 2(Iorveth & Saskia) not showing up and barely being mentioned in TW3. As well as not having a lot of choice with the end of Radovid's questline, and that Radovid going crazy seems forced.

They probably won't. I remember Waypoint collectively crying and begging for a reversal of his promotion the day it happened. Don't think they care that much.

The only thing he had going for him was that compared to all the other characters he was the least shit.

Like, what specifically don't you get?
A lot. One big thing specifically:

where does the 4.18 come from?
It's the specific heat of water. 4.18 Joules is required to heat 1 gram of water by one degree Celsius. It's a constant you're expected to memorize, but if your teacher gives you those things on tests that should be on there.
