"Better" in what sense? Light level? Because that doesn't matter in PvP most of the time.
And the times it does matter in PvE are only avaliable to those who bought the DLC, so... kind of a non-issue.
I wouldn't know as I don't play the game nor shill for it.

Thus far, the only thing you've been able to buy is emotes. And the recently added suclass boosters. Nothing that drastically alters gameplay at all.

Do you mean, like, you're not capable of acquiring DLC weapons and armour if you don't buy the DLC?
Why would you expect to play with DLC content without paying the price...?

Destiny you're paying for game-altering bonuses that effect all modes of the game.
Not really. You'd unlock these "game-altering bonuses" with a few hours of gameplay anyways. It's a stupid fucking purchase, $45 to skip 4-7 hours of "work", but to call it "game-altering" is just a ridiculous stretch.
The difference in gameplay between CLASSES in Destiny is negligible. The difference between subclasses? Even more so.
