I tend to pick lots of shows just to drop them, it's more fun this way.

Literally the worst taste.

Put a sufficient amount of thought into whether you want to have a dedicated relationship with something that can't even cook without some measure of assistance.

The Flood / Re: Books that were just ridiculously good

All Quiet on the Western Front
The Hunt for Red October
2001: A Space Odysseus
Ender's Game
Shadows of the Empire
Metro 2033

And others. I'd probably end up going through most of my closet for books in trying to figure out a definite favourite or adding to the that list.

I say we celebrate by participating in ritualistic mass suicide!
Do you want the poisoned ritual daggers, or are we just going the simple route of dumping everything under the kitchen sink into the punch bowl?

You didn't think he'd stick to such low level labor, did you? Construction is an exceptionally lucrative commercial enterprise ‒ add to that an indentured labor force without the necessary upkeep of more traditional group of workers, and he's make some serious money.

The Flood / Re: I'm out of coffee
« on: October 10, 2015, 06:48:29 AM »
what is it with American coffee obsession?. Is it because you threw all the tea in the sea or....?
It's just what you grow up with, friend. My childhood was filled with my parents having a cup of joe multiple times every morning, just as they did with their own parents, and so have most kid for a very long time. I myself have a distaste for tea and coffee alike, so I'm thankfully free to break this cycle.

Substitute it with copious amounts of water; it's not as effective as coffee, but it's certainly better for the engine.
Water is so gross. It doesn't have enough flavor.
Then kindly accept my suggestion to go purchase some from the nearest store providing what you so desperately desire.

Or go drink water!

Why?

The other night I think I was almost drunk for the first time in my life. Or maybe I was drunk, I'm not sure.
That's a pretty solid sign that you weren't drunk enough.

It's most likely already been stated, but just go speak to Oswald after defeating the Gargoyles. I'd say to just leave it or kill him if you're able, though; aside from minor tid bits of lore he's a fairly unimportant character, and the cost of absolution isn't really worth it until you've access to Sen's Fortress.

But if you're serious, spend the souls to absolve yourself of sin (which you certainly should do before entering Anor Londo) and he'll return to be friendly again.

Oh I like you

this is a good new member

The fact that he's got a casual Ben Kenobi in what looks like a christmassy millenium falcon should have pointed that out from the start.
I thank you both for the vote of confidence.

I think he stays there for the (SAN loss inducing)/10 bombshell angels and nonstop parties.

He was faring fairly well against Vader on the Death Star, so you can assume that he was at least as strong as Luke was during Return of the Jedi.

Well, not to mention that he handed Vader's ass to him at his peak strength, too.
I was under the impression he was holding his own rather than dominating the fight; I won't deny that he probably would have whooped his ass in the end, though. Vader was expending too much energy whereas Obi-Wan played the defensive like an intelligent person would, conserving his strength for an opportune moment.

A moment which came in an abrupt instance of ignorance.

If the NSA is seriously that interested in my novel drafts or Monster Girl doujins, they can have them. I'm all about spreading the love.

Now I'm just left wondering why I'm only leaving now, even knowing from the onset of .next how bitter I was with what they did to the moderation team and how catastrophically bad their management skills are.
Whoa, whoa. Did the mod team get reshuffled as well?
No, not reshuffled (though some might have been phased out of their positions), but a few of them might have been booted off due to a lack of a linked Destiny account.

Aside from that? Just as neutered as they've always been. Only seriously offensive material or their own spite results in a ban anymore. Those pictures I showed you earlier are the kinds of things posted every day by the children there. Code of Conduct been pretty much abandoned in favor of the inherently flawed mute/hide system.

I had a linked Destiny account, but I promised to leave if they actually implemented that bullshit policy. So what's done is ultimately done, and now I'm here.

Nine years down the drain, but I don't particularly care anymore.
Holy shit, fuckin  years?
Yeah. I've been an active member of the Flood since a few months before I turned twelve, which, suffice to say, means I wasn't a particularly productive and/or helpful member in the beginning. I think I've grown enough to admit I was a bit of a shitter back then, but at least I was never as bad as the so-called "trolls" who post on Bungie's site now.

Now I'm just left wondering why I'm only leaving now, even knowing from the onset of .next how bitter I was with what they did to the moderation team and how catastrophically bad their management skills are.

Reading (books, novels, manga, research, etc.) and writing.

Writing is ultimately something I love dearly but consistently struggle with due to feelings of inadequacy with my work and the inevitable writers block that comes after I've convinced myself that what I've written is utter tripe. I've recently got an editor type to assist me, but it's still slow going and the self-doubt is always there.

When has sucking someone's dick ever been gay?
Since Jesus said so.
Gay sex doesn't make you gay, bro ‒ the same holds true for regular sexual interactions with another male.

KoTOR II and Mount and Blade: Warband have been consuming most of my game time as of late. The latter is especially fun because I can finally fulfill my dream of becoming a benevolent warmonger, laying low lords and kings in hopes of building a prosperous empire free of suffering.

I seriously cannot wait for Bannerlord.
