Most likely not, considering the history Fallout releases. They all tend to be self-contained stories with numerous interconnected events tying them all together. Even New Vegas, which is undoubtedly the most story heavy and/or lore dependent game isn't hard to understand on its own merits.

Yeah. Hold off on that for a while. Once you start progressing for real in one of the faction storylines you can lock yourself out of some content.

Yeah, but mods work around that, assuming you're playing on PC. I've sunk so much time into NV and I've never completed it all. There's so many hidden side and miscellaneous quests, note quests, and regular quests (along with faction quests) that it's unbelievable. And this was Obsidian on a timetable, having to scrap a bunch of planned shit because of it. So just hold off on finishing up the faction bits until you've had your fill of the Mojave and DLC.

Wind Waker's the only Zelda game I ever routinely go back and play. Emulating it right now and trying to work out some bugs so I can do another playthrough.
I won't say it's my favourite game of all time, but it's definitely one of the most enjoyable for me.
