ArticleA new study of 30 cheese products has detected phthalates in all but one of the samples tested, with the highest concentrations found in the highly processed cheese powder in boxed mac-and-cheese mixes.
The chemicals, phthalates, can disrupt male hormones like testosterone and have been linked to genital birth defects in infant boys and learning and behavior problems in older children.

Someone offers you a bowl of candy, 1,000 skittles to be precise. The catch: 10 of then contain poison and will kill you. Do you take the risk and grab a handful?

What games would you say fit this description? Personally, I would go with Dark Souls 2, any Halo game since 3 and Fallout 4.

This is probably ancient, but I didn't see anything in the last six pages. Seriously Wisconsin? Did you correctly know how to spell your state's word?

[Insert slowpoke meme here]
So, I finally decided to tackle the lauded Half-Life franchise (currently finishing Half-Life 1). So far I've enjoyed the gameplay and story, but Jesus Christ do they need to have one million platforming sections? Does the sequel also have a ton of platforming sections or did they tone it down a little?

With updates, DLC, etc. a game that was terrible at launch can turn out to be a good game, albeit later on in it's lifespan. So, it begs the question: Do you put a lot of stock in initial reviews/gameplay videos when making a purchase?

So, the last few days I was in Canada for business and the big thing that people were talking about was the possible change to their national anthem. Apparently they want to change the anthem from “all thy sons command,” with “all of us command.”I don't really care either way, but should an anthem change to reflect the times? Is this a waste of legislation when a nation has bigger issues to worry about?

Article-Erdogan accused Germany and the Netherlands of "Nazism" after officials blocked rallies in their countries. -Erdogan also called the Netherlands a banana republic and said that sanctions should be imposed on them. I wonder how bad Turkey will flip out if Wilders wins.

You try to make the best caption on a fellow member's pic. Then you can post your own. I guess I'll go first. Wonder if we can get some funny captions.

It seems like some (not all) developers nowadays try to apply to the lowest common denominator. Instead of trying to be risky/innovative they stick to what is safe. A good example is Dead Rising 4. Their dev blogs talked about appealing to as many people as possible. The resulting final product had no time limit, zombies aren't more aggressive at night, etc. because their feedback was that the previous games were too hard.
So do you think that focus groups have too much influence in development?

So I finally decided to bite the bullet and watch the Star Wars series with a friend. Just saw Episode 1. Other than a couple parts I don't get the hate that the prequels get (so far). Can someone explain this to a newbie.

One my favorite parts of Halo: CE was the lead up to the reveal of the Flood. The corpses and blood scattered everywhere, the insane marine with the pistol, the Flood in the distance as you approached the A-shaped structure. I think it was really well done. Would the series have done as well as a horror series?

When playing a new game how much time do you give it before deciding if it's worth to continue playing/returning to the store? Are there any games with slow starts that you loved later?

Always online, micro-transactions, season passes, etc.
For me, if a game doesn't have some form of single-player then I'll skip it.

In today's age of post-release bug fixes/re-balancing/add-ons of the original game it's difficult for it to become as bad as ET.
Agree or disagree? Does it depend on how dedicated the developer is to fixing the game post-release?

What do you think about RNG microtransactions like Overwatch loot boxes, CSGO weapon cases, etc.? Would you rather pay a little more to get the specific item that you want, like a certain character skin?

Whether it has to do with tough enemies, bad design, etc. what areas/levels do you hate progressing through?
New Londo ghost house (DS1). Sawtooth Cauldron (Borderlands 2).
