>All these fallacies

Let's cut the shit and stop avoiding the elephant in the room, there is no place for this practice in civilized society. I'm on mobile so I can't link it, but look up a video on YouTube called Child Circumcision, an Elephant in the hospital. Circumcision is nothing short of mutilation.
Here you go.

I promise you guys I will drop this site entirely. I won't even acknowledge that it even exists, me CIS and every other person here that is in their right mind that has a redeemable factor would leave.

Verbatim is already hard to deal with as a member, having him as mod would be worse than having Kiyo again, and let's not forget what a mistake Kiyo was.

I'd post this in the Sep7agon board but that board is dead. I don't think Verbatim would ever been considered or voted into mod, but I'm telling you this now. It would be a terrible idea knowing the kind of person he is on here.

Let's also not forget that when I first joined here, Verbatim was banned for a very long time and he was in the same group as Le Dustin, Kinder, Based Love, Camnator, etc.

So whoever or whenever there is another mod election, vote wisely if Verbatim ends up on that list.

I wouldn't do anything if that happened. I'd just wait for the inevitable.

The inevitable being Verb spergs and bans someone because that person is wrong? Yeah I've been on too many forums with many Verbs that have done that already. That drama is 2009, but if you get a kick out of it, feel free to stay then.

Verb would make a better mod than you would tbh. He at least wouldn't ban the whole site a million times over.

How you're handling our conversation right now is evidence in of itself.
disagreeing with you on a subject is not evidence for anything

Quote
Also, that logical fallacy applies to scientific matters like smoking causing lung cancer.
nope

it applies to all anecdotal evidence

Handling it emotionally and hurling insults right off the bat is the evidence. A common theme among all the mods is that they're agreeable people who handle situations in a calm manner. It is still a shame you won't become mod though as it would be hilarious to watch you start riots over stupid shit.

I've met people such as yourself before, and I know that people like yourself are the kinds who abuse power the moment they get their hands on it.
https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/anecdotal

My point is that you'd be the worst mod this site ever saw. It doesn't take a genius to see that.
and you have no basis for that

cool

How you're handling our conversation right now is evidence in of itself. Also, that logical fallacy applies to scientific matters like smoking causing lung cancer.

Everyone knows that you'd be a terrible mod. I'm not the only one that thinks this.
and you're literally all wrong

what is your point

My point is that you'd be the worst mod this site ever saw. It doesn't take a genius to see that.

My basis is plausibility.
LMAO

"my basis is that i'm right"

There is no plausibility. You're just pulling literal shit out of your cholesterol-filled ass, because you dislike me.
And I'm the petty one.

Everyone knows that you'd be a terrible mod. I'm not the only one that thinks this. I don't have to personally like someone to determine how they handle power. I've met people such as yourself before, and I know that people like yourself are the kinds who abuse power the moment they get their hands on it.

There is a good reason you aren't a ninja.
no there isn't

You'd be a million times worse than Kiyo. Even Comms would be a better moderator than you.

Being a ninja is overrated. You actually have much more freedom as a memeber anyway...
not in the slightest

it's the life right here

real ninjas only you know  8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Let's see, you're not allowed to block any users you find uncomfortable, you're not allowed to lock any negative threads about you, You're not allowed to tell others what goes on in HQ or the staff chat... yeah being a mod sounds fucking fantastic alright.

He actually can't help it when it comes to having troubles detecting sarcasm, so I wouldn't hate on him for it.  Just me though.

Icy and I aren't peachy terms, but I can admit that he's a good mod. You'd probably end up perma banning someone for arguing against your bizarre death cult philosophy.
except i wouldn't, and you have literally no basis for that

My basis is plausibility. You're quite possibly the most toxic user on this site.

Just replace her with Abraham Lincoln on the $5. He already has the penny.
no its nice to be able to kick jackson in the balls by removing him from the $20

Why should we remove Jackson from the $20 banknote exactly? Wasn't he one of our most important presidents?
he engaged in genocidal actions against the indigenous peoples of north america. his significance re: our nation's history is honestly irrelevant in this case- we shouldnt spread the image of such a horrible person around in a positive manner by immortalizing his likeness on a symbol of value. is he the only bad person on our currency? no. im of the opinion that just about everyone currently immortalized on american coins and dollars needs to be replaced.

Who do you propose we replace them with?
they can put a bunch of big dragon dildos on the currency for all i care.

FDR might be a good idea.

Serious / Neoliberalism?
« on: April 19, 2016, 12:52:22 AM »
I've heard this word being used before to describe the philosophical tenets and policies of Thatcher, Friedman and Reagan. I've also heard some folks say that it was responsible for last decade's financial crisis. I am unsure what to think of this philosophy due to my ignorance. If somebody here could relay me some information and commentary on this school of thought that is apparently popular within conservative groups in Europe and the US that would be cool.

Actual victims wouldn't go to Tumblr after getting raped.
As much as I doubt the integrity of his ex making these allegations, the degree to which people assume how victims of sexual assault would act never ceases to amaze me.

Thank God you are here to show us the truth, and put all our doubts to bed.
It's common sense.

Poke a million people with a stick, and you'll get a million different reactions.

Serious / Re: Security vs Privacy

The most successful terrorist attacks kill a few thousand people. My country had hundreds of millions of people. The chance of dying in a terrorist attack are so slim that "security" is basically useless. Privacy is more important.

From my rudimentary understanding of international affairs, terrorist attacks carry more weight than just a few thousand people getting killed. They have a significant impact on internal politics and can be detrimental to our economy.
