New footage was just released at Comic Con.
They actually gave Zavala a personality, and it comes off pretty well, a lot like he is described in the Grimoire. YouTube 1684

Gaming / Re: 🤔Destiny🤔2🤔Beta🤔Thread🤔« on: July 24, 2017, 10:13:05 PM »I like it.really don't like the new weapon system I usually used a sidearm to mow through shields, and elemental primaries have always been coveted, but really unbalanced in PvE, especially with modifiers. This usually results in your favorite loadout being useless in some situations, and god tier in others, or forced you to use an elemental primary you hated just for the burn. I was not a fan of the Zhalo Supercell, but it was hands down the best weapon in Arc Burn, even before Fatebringer was useless. Though, now that Fatebringer is back, the Supercell isn't just plain the ONLY option. Displacing the amount that these weapons can be used by moving them to the special slot will create some interesting PvE, and considering how much I even used my Sniper or Shotgun when I had them equipped, plus how weak they were in the special slot for PvE, moving them into heavy and giving them a nice PvE buff should be awesome. Not to mention I almost absolutely never touched my heavy slot. Ultimately a lot of these changes seem to be geared toward more casual players wanting to enjoy PvE, and I'm okay with that. 1688

The Flood / Re: Why are police trained to have the warrior mentality?« on: July 24, 2017, 07:09:44 PM »Except for the all the time it happens literally all over the world. That's highly doubtful.Several reasons. One that hasn't been mentioned yet is the availability of arms. If you're a police officer in a country that has more privately owned guns in it than people, you're trained to just about expect the worst in any situation. Pulling over a car with a pinged plate, breaking up a confrontation, called for a domestic dispute or possible break in? Odds are someone's going to have a gun. 60 something policemen shot dead while on duty in 2016 alone. That's more than one a week. They're trained to prepare for stuff like this.Of course, should the government ever turn against us, the ability to kill police will be vital. 1690

The Flood / Just ran into [username redacted] at the mall« on: July 24, 2017, 05:06:02 PM »
I spied him from across the food court.
I wasn't sure if the thin pube-like hair on his face was from neglect, or a genuine belief that it made him look cool. His white New Balances stepped on the backs of his mom jeans, and it was clear both had seen better days. He wore a faded Blue Lantern shirt, an ill-fitting Umbrella Corp. hoodie, and tucked away his greasy hair beneath an Eevee baseball cap. With ears. I almost stood to ask if he was who I thought, but he turned to waddle away and I saw the Tamagotchi lanyard dangling from his pocket and I knew. Do you? 1693

The Flood / Re: Thor wields lightning without a hammer in Ragnarok.« on: July 22, 2017, 11:33:58 PM »His hammer is just a catalystAfter Odin took his power away, the hammer became a sort of key to unlocking it. In the comics, he never really gets his full power back, and during the Thor: Unworthy storyline he forges a new hammer to unlock his power again. Part of the crushing effect losing his hammer must have on him is the partial loss of his power, which is why I'm sure this reveal with him embroiled in lightning is so important, and why Hela destroying it such a pivotal plot moment. 1699

Blane: Maybe I don't need a new friend.
Jacey: Maybe you're the only friend I need. Blane: Need, or want? Jacey: I've never been much for wanting. Blane: Spoken like someone with needs. Jacey reaches out and touches his face. It's clear he needs what she wants. She's a woman. He's a man. The city burns in the background as he takes her in his arms. Fade out. Title... 'The End'... "Question Mark." 1700
The Flood / Thor wields lightning without a hammer in Ragnarok.« on: July 22, 2017, 10:52:11 PM »
After doing a frame by frame of this new trailer, I have determined that Marvel did not just remove his new hammer from the frames to hype the reveal, he is actually wielding lightning without his hammer at all, as his hands do not remain clenched as though he is holding onto something after he stands up.
So, does Thor get his full power back, as it was before Odin put restraints on it? YouTube 1701

TTK is way overhyped by the community though, and it didn't really become something all that playable until RoI, which was disappointing in it's own right, as there wasn't an overwhelming amount of new content like there was if you started playing TTK towards the end of its life. TTK was just not that good at its launch though, and frankly the thing that makes RoI the best era was the fact that TTK released a bunch of free content over the course of year two that was all available by the time RoI came out. 1708
