And the specific thing that makes an experience work shouldn't be defined, because part of the appreciation is just knowing, internally, that something speaks to you.
Finding it's mouth degrades that feeling.
Maybe for you. I guess I'm just smart enough to not allow that to happen.
There's a reason an artist can never appreciate their own work.
That has nothing to do with anything.
If you know all the parts of something intimately, you can't love it. This isn't complicated, in fact it's just the opposite. Pure and blissful simplicity.

There's a reason an artist can never appreciate their own work. If you feel like you can, you probably weren't smart enough to even understand someone else's art.

This is a fucking stupid thread.
You should appreciate things as a whole.
And you're both retards if you think that having a list of priorities means that you can't appreciate the whole.
Media is not the sum of its parts, and just because a piece checks all the boxes you want checked doesn't mean its what you were looking for.
So no, when you look for things certain things in soomething, you're not experiencing something, you're just dissecting it.
And that is the correct way to analyze and appreciate art.
It's an atrocity against art.
Poets have waged war against such practices for decades.
And radical Muslims have waged war against Western values for decades. What is your point.
Western values are shit.

League is becoming less shit?
>moba >ever
Ew.
I've never played one, but I'm also not in denial about League's relevancy and importance as a competitive gaming landmark.

Source?
Because the story is already written. Gaben used to talk about it all the time. They used to have a huge team working on it, but splintered them off to other projects. I'll post a video or article when I get home. Finding decade old stuff will be a little hard.

•It's an inevitability. Why? Because HL2 ended on a cliff hangar?
What it will be is a disappointment, and that is what no one's expecting. Oh if it ever got announced, it would be fairly obvious it will be a massive pile of hog shit. There's no way you can meet the expectations of over a decade of delusional hype.
Because the story is already written. At some point it will leak if it never gets officially released. Nothing stays buried forever.

New Half-Life IP already confirmed; HL3's story has been written for years... A new IP in the same universe as Half-Life isn't the same as having a new Half-Life game.
Clearly Valve is invested in the universe, and at some point, even if they never release a new game, Gordon Freeman's fate will be announced. Wishful thinking.
•Why I said Half-life and related IPs in the OP. I'm chomping at the bit for more insight into the universe, not necessarily for a third Half-Life. •It's an inevitability.

The last Eva film needs to come out.
Half-Life and related IPs needing resolution. I'll never understand why people continue to think Half Life will ever be concluded.

Half-Life and related IPs needing resolution. will never happen
Still don't know what the Traveler is will never say
Haven't sired enough children to invalidate Verb's celibacy.
Wait until he can transfer his consciousness into every living being and create a soft holocaust, thus rendering the idea of having kids pointless
cool I guess that means I'm going to live forever

Revisionist history for the sake of making minorities feel included is stupid. that's not what's happening here. it's important for youth minorities to see their demographic in important and/or powerful positions. that's all.
It's nonfact being depicted as fact. They're going to learn about Africa in school too, there's no reason to jam black people into Celtic history.

« on: July 31, 2017, 06:46:59 PM »
oh my god who cares. there's a good reason for it.
keep crying.
There really isn't. It just teaches kids falsities and covers up real positive African history like the ancient city of Great Zimbabwe. Instead of talking about the unique accomplishments of Africans it just chalks it up to, "We can do everything white people can do." which is a sad way to approach cultural history.

What is wrong with it?
presumably the issue is that they're inserting black people into places they didn't exist
Revisionist history for the sake of making minorities feel included is stupid. Those cultures all have their own chapters in history, and in a way, pretending black people and white people share a history is a worse form of whitewashing than inserting white people into their history. It robs these cultures of their identity at the most basic levels, destroying any vestige of their heritage.

is this drugs
You betcha!

bad drugs tho, dph sucks for almost anything
you say "bad drugs" as though there are good drugs
Drugs helped me lose 80 pounds and gives me energy to go to the gym for longer.
This is a bad thing, because you should've had the strength to do it without drugs.
The ends always justify the means.
Never.
And that, kids, is where the spineless philosophy "It would be better if everyone died." comes from. The only thing that matters is what's next. If you get caught in the moment, you're just in everyone else's way.
