they only make money if you're enjoying the game via buying platinum -- something you wouldn't do if you're just waiting for destiny to be released. if you spent money on warframe during that time, i'd say the game transitioned from riding on the rails of destiny to forming its own source of interest within players.
the point i'm trying to make is that warframe, especially in its early days, was so distinctly different from what it is today that it could hardly be called a destiny lookalike. today's game could be, but not 1.0
Buddy, I don't know shit about shit, but people often ask me why I play Destiny when I could just play Warframe. Alls I sees is two similar games that are both making money, and which you've just told me one changed to emulate the other. If that's not cashing in, I'm not sure I know what cashing in is.

You need food, so you should get it for free. Not complicated.

But is that because they already have the luxury of easy access to that free content? It's easy to say, "I only pirate what I wouldn't buy", but if you removed piracy as a means to get games, how many do you think would fall back to finding deals online, like CD keys, steam, Humble Bundle, etc.? How many do you think would outright just accept paying full price to continue their favorite hobby? Probably a large percentage.
I don't know about that. The torrenting community is strange, to say the least. There's almost something lackadaisical to their consumption of media. It's a lot like shopping at the dollar store. Like, "I'm here for whatever's getting seeded today, mainly because I'm bored." At the end of the day there's an ocean of content that's free by design, and pirates would probably just turn there. A large number never actually money to spend anyway, so they're not buying anything. I'm not saying piracy is positive, but it's often altogether benign.

I mainly meant that in reference to China going to war with the US, anyway; and out of curiousity, why would China not be willing to risk intervention in the face of millions of refugees entering the country due to a conflict instigated by the US? Not to say China would immediately retaliate, but I'd say intervening in the conflict would make sense from the Chinese perspective.
It doesn't matter. People talk frivolously of war, but scarcely of peace. The ultimate resolution in the Koreas is opening communication and trade between the sovereign pair, and slowly but surely conditions will become better for Northern citizens. Unification is a distant dream and an unlikely outcome at this point, the best we can hope for is the reinstatement of trust.

They could have just used that to justify not accepting the results; but no, instead they send in the men in green to confiscate ballot boxes and beat the voters bloody. Regardless of whether Catalonia should or shouldn't gain independence (I'm not really informed enough on that to have an opinion), this just wasn't a good look for Spain and it won't help their case in the slightest.
At that point they're not voters, they're rebel conspirators committing treason. There's nothing wrong with that often enough (look at the rebellions and revolutions remembered fondly), but the government they oppose is certainly in its right place to take arms against them. Democracy is not an excuse for rebellion, it just moves the blame from the leaders to the people.
