The Flood / Re: Why do people pay for expensive ass brands and clothing

But you'll find a $20 sweater is just as good as the $80 most of the time.
Wrong.
I feel like there's no such thing as a $500 t-shirt, and if there was it wouldn't be nicer than a $40 one.

Now, the difference between a $5 t-shirt and a $20 t-shirt would be evident, but once you get above $20, you're really paying too much.
http://uscheckout.apc.fr/browse.cfm/4,3379.html

120 dollars for a white shirt designed by Kanye West and APC. Close enough because it's just as retarded.

But no, the quality of a shirt caps bout $100 which you can get for $60 or less used.
Of a shirt, sure the quality caps around $100.
But of a t-shirt?

No, $25 is being lenient in saying that the quality is still going up.

Dear diary, today AngryBrute has done literally everything he possibly could, in as many threads as he possibly could, to make me hate him.

I was going to say, "Hey me too!"

And then I read the post, and realised that they were very different dreams.
what was yours?
I was going to make a thread about it, but I'm really not sure I want to post publicly about it.
It's a little embarrassing, and involves another user from this site.
You have those dreams about Tru too?
Well it wasn't about tru
what does this imply?

Do people really not comprehend that expensive clothes are usually made out of a nicer material?

That cashmere sweater might look like that polyester one from afar but that shit sure doesn't feel like it

But yeah certain brands are just stupid, j-crew and coach tend to be expensive as fuck for what they are and the clothes are just mediocre  cotton shirts
We're not talking about expensive materials, we're talking about brands.
turn your brain on, expensive brands tend to be made from nicer materials or just crafted better
Sure they do.

An $80 shirt is made out of gold and unicorn tears and not cotton where they're charging an extra $70 for the brand name.
you clearly lack basic reading comprehension skills. I literally said the exact same thing you just said in my first comment
Nope.

You're saying expensive clothing is all made of superior materials when it's blatantly untrue.
The majority of designer clothing is FAR better quality than what you will find in a mall. Now, that isn't to say that there is a huge difference between a $40 t shirt and a $500 one. There isn't a big enough difference to in any way justify the price for me. But keep in mind, construction quality is every bit as important as the fabric itself. You can use high quality shit, but if its made by some dude in China it will fall apart.

Nobody has come here because of your channel.
I can pretty much guarantee this. The channel is an extension of the forum, not the other way around.
I could actually see people coming here because of TOTD.
Objectively the best Youtuber.

I wear Levis exclusively where jeans are concerned.

I'm actually completely disgusted by this thread.

I shop almost exclusively at factory outlets.
I own $70 sweaters, $500 suits, $80 pairs of pants, all which I got for around 90% or more off.

I'm repulsed when I find out people actually pay department store prices, and even moreso when I find out that people bought cheap shit instead, and actually paid more than I did for my nice things.

Also pacsun is gross.
Even grosser than Armani Exchange.

You got ripped off.
Yeah I'm not understanding if he got a $500 suit for 90% off or if it was $500 at 90% off. I can believe a sweater or a shirt at 90% off but a $500 suit for $50 is bullshit. Unless the store was shutting down or something.
Yeah, at Jos. A Bank, Brooks Brothers, and others they sell off factory stockpiles of winter fashions just before spring.
Everything is 70% or more off, for a couple of weeks at the factory outlet.

Not all cotton is created equal.
Not to mention, craftsmanship is a big part of clothing.

I know for sure the difference between nice clothes and cheap ones.

Oke, in the interests of fairness as threads similar to this one are frequently locked for no-discussion value I'll extend the same offer as Yuta has but with a bit more clarity.

If you add a topic for discussion, the thread can remain <.<
If not, then it's gun b locked because of modbias/modsbeingnazis/modabuse etc.
But 'lol' isn't a suitable OP >.>
ITT: Psy wants us to all make threads with the OP being lol

It was the future and everyone was underground. I got called to volunteer to go to the surface to collect samples of any living organisms. 5 billion people died from a virus in 1996 and they sent me back in time to figure it out. Time travel isn't really perfected yet, so they screw up a few times. First they send me to 1990, a little bit too early. Then they send me back way off course to World War I where I get shot in the leg.
This should be a movie directed by Clint Eastwood.
It would be an even better movie if Terry Gilliam directed it.
Nah.
And Tom Hanks should have the lead.
No, I'm feeling Bruce Willis.

Actually I was living in Europe until 2 months ago, now I'm in London.
TIL London is not in Europe...
Wait are you being serious or sarcastic?
Sarcastic. Obvs London is a European city.
No it isn't. The UK may be part of the EU, but it isn't Europe.

You're not really being serious are you?
^This^

Europe is a continent.
It's not like people go around saying Cuba is in North America.

Not supporting it is sorta not supporting this place.
I don't know what you're talking about or what you expected, but I don't care about any streams or your channel on whatever video service.

I come here to chat with my friends, not to subscribe, or participate in any extra shit.
It's shameful that you're guilt tripping people ITT, and untrue that these two are one, as I've never even heard of this channel.

I like to think that I have contributed, at least a little bit, to making this website a better place, but I simply have better things to do than watch your videos.

In all, if your subscribers are dissatisfied, don't blame me for not generating content for your channel.
