Spoiler frieza coming back for the tournament is hype as fuck, but they shoulda dropped Roshi or Tien instead of Buu imo.
Probably the most hype thing to happen in DBS. For me at least. If he got more screen time, he'd probably my favourite overall character in Dragon Ball -- this could be the shot he needs.
Spoiler I just hope that it redeems the shitty RoF arc appearance And it'll be nice to have Toyotaro draw Golden Frieza since he didn't get a shot before

Spoiler Thinking about it, Frieza really will have more interesting character dynamics than Buu (doesn't change the fact I'm mad Buu is gone)
Like, he's got to work with the man who killed him, Vegeta after destroying his planet, Beerus and Supreme Kai maybe blaming him for the low mortal level, etc.

I liked this movie a lot, but was pretty disappointed with the generic sequel structure this film took, from expanding the team, redeeming previous villains, and the protagonist searching for his father, with that reveal being a lazy cliche itself. The character development boiled down to everybody just needing a hug. I worry that my enjoyment of the film from it's dozens of jokes and big spectacle is letting me forgive a pretty bad story and a really shitty climax.
Spoiler After Doctor Strange's creative climax, watching two Celestials just have a dumb fist fight was a huge letdown.
One of the first comments my friend made after we left the screen was it was basically daddy issues: the movie.

that's an anime only thing, doesn't happen in the manga
the anime is actually just all around poo and you should just stick to reading the manga for super
the tournament arc sucks and is worse in every way to the anime
I don't know if I agree with that, the only part of the anime I definitively prefer is SSB Kaioken to the return of SSG admittedly some bits of the Black arc were better early on The flashback(forward?) of Babidi and Dabura was so cool, in particular, but everything else is kinda eh, and Black and Goku not fighting at all is dumb

When I think broccoli, the closest vegetable I'd associate it with would be Cauliflower. I thought it was just a design change until that leak the other day where they uncovered stuff about Kale on the Toei website.

The one thing I hate about people who drink is how they always try to pressure you to join them, and then they try to make you feel bad after you turn them down more than once. I've found that people who smoke usually don't ask again once you've said no the first time. They might ask "are you sure?" but it generally doesn't go beyond that.
Next year's gonna be fun, when I go to uni.

Also, after thinking about it, I don't think RoF was really that great. The fight was cool and the stuff with Beerus and Whis was good but the overall plot of the film was a bit iffy and the ending was unsatisfying. It felt more like one of those older noncanon DBZ movies that have no impact on the overall story, like Broly or Bojack tbh.
Pretty much the only things that actually has an impact on the future of the series is SSB and Goku and Vegeta training with Whis

I knew he had a new book, but I haven't read that either. I just pray they keep his origins in the Outbound Flight Project.
Thrawn has returned to canon in a new canon book.
I haven't read it, and he is in rebels as I understand, but these are things I also know nothing about. Yeah, apparently that's the case Uhh as for his whereabouts post ROTJ - we don't know SW Aftermath series spoilers Spoiler He was helping Palpatine chart the Unknown Regions, and the group who went to form the First Order used those, and when they arrived they encountered the Sheev's Flagship so the fact that's already there could mean that Thrawn may possibly there.
Someone more well versed in Star Wars may know more though
