I wish they could have added a vendor or library in the Tower so we could actually read the Grimoire ingame, but I really love this lore, it's genuinely great stuff. If only the story telling for the main storyline could be this good (granted Taken King seems to be a step in the right direction).

On the script spoiler Spoiler I really don't think they would have something so huge in this trailer, but they did spoil part of Halo 4's ending from a script in a vidoc so it's possible
I think this is either a hallucination by the Domain (which it can do as we know from the Blue Team mission where Chief see's Cortana) or Chief and Locke somehow came to an agreement to have Chief seen as dead by ONI

I have halo nightfall installed on my xbox one, but when i go into the halo channel app and try to watch it, it tells me to buy it and it sends me to the store page where it says "installed".

You're not alone, this has happened to me too. I went to go watch it so I could make sure I had the Nightfall armour in Halo 5 and I'm not able to watch it. I don't know what is up with Xbox lately, first I lose access to my SUROS arsenal pack in Destiny, then Halo Nightfall and I'm kinda scared to see if Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta is gone in Dragon Ball Xenoverse.

When I played it I had no prior knowledge of the Flood. The clues leading up to it told me there was something infectious coming up, but it doesn't really tell you anything about what they look like, how to fight them, or why they're there. That's why it's tension-building; it's not a cold reveal, it's a gradual revelation of the real purpose of the Halo and the plot in general.
plus seeing the shadows in the forest were creepy as hell
I love the build up for it, kinda makes me feel bad I do that glitch where you throw grenades before getting out of the Pelican to stay in and skip the entire forest section :p

At least they're still useful in Crucible, but it's a shame that everything we've collected in Year 1 is only useful in one gamemode. It was neat that we got some Exotics from Year 1 upgraded for Year 2 (especially Monte Carlo and Hawkmoon so us Xbox players can use them), but still you have other weapons becoming obsolete.

It's inevitable.
If they rewrote the plot, or at least added more terminals to make the plot make sense and had blur cinematics done, I'd actually be okay with that.
They definitely won't rewrite the plot (sadly) if when it happens.
The leat they can do is add some more terminals, explaining what the fuck Truth was up to te entire time, or where Rally Point War was.
They'd probably flesh out Usze and N'tho tbh, it'd be nice to have them appear as allies at the canonical points (like I think Hunters in the Dark mentioned that they were present during the assault on the Citadel)
