If you like Metroidvanias, aside from Samus Returns, Mega Man ZX Advent was pretty great
Mario and Luigi Bowsers Inside Story was a great RPG
Kid Icarus Uprising is my second favourite game of all time, but that might be an acquired taste since many find the control scheme awkward (aiming is done with the touch screen)

What a wonderful individual. It really is a shame to see what happened to them, it feels like they saw the success of TWD and took on a lot of projects and made a few other bad choices like sticking with the same engine for years plus the rapid expansion. Hopefully everyone affected can get more work soon.

raid spoilers innit Spoiler I actually love how there were some pretty obvious consequences from killing Riven, with the Dreaming City becoming more corrupted by the Taken. In Destiny 1, Crotas End was the only raid that really had an consequences which was Oryx's arrival but the almost immediate change in the world after Last Wish was completed was great. And using it to give us another story mission and strike was swell. Other than that, Bungie have successfully made me excited for another Hive/Taken expansion which is wild because I thought I wouldn't want another one for ages after Crota/Oryx/Nokris. All the lore and stuff with them is just fascinating and I'm ready for Savathun and Xivu Arath already. I suspect that'll probably be Destiny 3 with the ships that appeared in the post credits scene though. But who knows, that same post credit scene has showed all the DLC locations and Oryx's Dreadnought so we're probably going back at some point.

In terms of characters, I only really care about Dark Samus as I haven't played or just don't care about the games for the others, but it's cool to have Simon particularly so you can have Samus vs Simon, the faces of Metroidvanias and K. Rool is another unique character so that's always good.
Lots of cool things announced otherwise, but the stage morphing to another stage thing looks awesome.

tbh, I'm surprised they even bothered to make the update
They're only doing it because they're doing XB1X 4K stuff so they were like "yeah may as well do this at the same time i guess".
In fairness though it's shaping up to genuinely be a good patch, they've been going pretty in depth into the development in the blog posts.
Throwing it on Game Pass is a good idea too, though if they want to put it on Games with Gold as well that'd be great
