Whether true or not, let's just say libertarian fiscal policy furthers innovation faster than liberal fiscal policy. And as many of us here believe, we will likely one day reach a point in innovation where a socialist gift society become a reality, due to the dimensioning need of a human work force and a rapid expansion upon resources. If libertarian fiscal policies reach us to that point faster, are they more ethical than liberal fiscal policies? Or are liberal fiscal policies more ethical because while it may take longer to reach that point, the journey leaves people happier due to how liberal fiscal policies puts the needs of the workers before that of the corporation?
Before anyone gets butthurt, keep in mind that I am making a few assumptions here: 1) that libertarian fiscal policy furthers innovation faster than liberal fiscal policy; 2) that liberal fiscal policy leaves people happier as their needs are put before the needs of corporations; and 3) that a socialist gift society is an inevitability.
Granted the above assumptions are true (and feel free to state whether or not you disagree with any of them), which set of policies are more ethical in your opinion?

>I loved drawing so much >I was actually good at it too >I would often draw pictures for my mom so she could hang them up in her cubicle at work >One day I decided to draw a picture using MS Paint >Think to myself about how good it came out >Hand it to mom >"Ohhh.... computer art" >Speaks in a sarcastic voice pretending to be impressed >She doesn't like it >My heart is broken >Never draw another picture again >Almost ten years later and I've completely forgot how to draw

I mean for society as a whole, we do we do it? It just makes everyone like they're fat. Even muscular people are turned into lazy couch potatoes when they sit down. And fat people become exponentially more fat. I think everyone but skinny people are victimized by the act of sitting down. But then again, even some skinny people form a gut when they sit down.
I'm thinking on starting a movement, to end sitting down in the workplace and in school. Does anyone want to join? We can really help society out a lot by not looking as fat as we do when we sit.

I've created 257 threads (not including this one) and made 1817 posts.
Statistically put, about 14% of all my posts are threads.
How many of your posts are threads? I'm going to guess I have the highest percentage here.

Thank God my hair is straight, only a small few people can pull off curly hair. But yeah I usually just let it grow a short length and kick it off to the side a bit. Although tomorrow morning I'm going to try putting some gel in it and seeing how that works.
What do you guys do with your hair?

I only have one last relative left, aside from my mom whom I live with, that lives within a thousand miles of me (my grandmother), but both my mom and my grandma are having health problems. My grandma's cancer returned and she has about a year left to live, even with chemotherapy (please do not mistake me for asking for sympathy; grandmas die all the time and I'm almost an adult now). My mom is having sporadic heart murmurs due to a genetic condition that gives certain members of my family an odd heartbeat. My mom is also fairly heavy and borderline diabetic which makes the heart murmurs increasingly more potent of causing a heart attack. And because they're random, it may happen when no one is around to help, which is essentially how my father died. I might be an adult by then, but I have no idea how I'd deal with all of that. I'm not talking emotionally here, I mean financially. Who would pay the bills? How would I be able to pay for college? What happens to the house?
Anyway there isn't much to discuss here I'm just letting out some stress. I'm sure most of you have it far harder than I and you're just laughing right now reading this.

Some of the more immature members of the forum seem to think it's acceptable to post this kind of content on the serious board: There's nothing I can do about, because if I report them the mods will just say I'm spamming the report button and ban me. How can we solve this problem so Serious doesn't have the negative, insultive culture it has developed?

That's really kind of pathetic if we're supposed to consider it science. Especially considering there's no DNA involved, we just eye ball a pile of bones and assume that they're put together in a certain way that matches our presumption of how we think they should work, and that's usually heavily biased towards the theory of evolution. And who's to say the bones weren't put in the ground that way to have us doubt the scientific theory of creationism? These variables have not been ruled out and yet we go on to conclude evolution as fact. Further, our fossil record is far too limited to pull those conclusions. There simply is far too little data to form the theory of evolution and it's shoved down everyone's throats as fact.
I'm not saying evolution is proven false, I'm just saying that it hasn't been proven.

As you may have read in my other thread, I've recently converted to Christianity. It was not an easy process but I made it out a smarter, more faithful servant of God, and it has left my conscious at rest for the first time.
God grants us free will to do what we want. While He has the power to grant all our wishes, He chooses not to. Instead He guides us towards the right path, so that we may enter Heaven after we die. However there is also a duality effect at play. The Devil is also guiding us, just as God does; albeit towards the wrong path. He manipulates us and twists our minds--if we allow him to. This is essentially how the victimization of atheists manifests itself in humanity. The Devil doesn't want humans to believe in God, or else humans would have morality and thus follow God's path. For if we do wrong things, following the Devil's path, do we go to Hell where Satan has control over us. Atheists, by biblical definition, are manipulated by Satan. A Christian may communicate a logical fallacy to an atheist, but they are unable to recognize it as illogical. This is because their minds are manipulated and they are unable to break free.
Once I realized this, I quickly went to the closest pastor I knew and begged to him to help save me. It took a long time and a lot of work, but eventually I was able to see God's light, guiding me on the path to Heaven.
The proof is clear as day, but you cannot see it as an atheist. You must take a leap of faith, to gain faith, and you will see that God is real and enlightens us all.
I hope this helps my fellow atheists on the forum understand God a little better. I will pray for all of you to one day know God just as I do. Good luck.

You can't tell me you've never moments that made you think that something, maybe not a god, but something supernatural is out there. Do you guys know what I'm talking about? Like when something that literally made no sense just happened and you can't put it to your head, and you just have to conclude that something has to be out there.
Well this has happened to me very recently, and as a matter of fact, I do believe it was God. I'll leave it at that and let you assume that I am in face a born again Christian now.

http://sep7agon.net/index.php?topic=6617.0Keep in mind this thread was made after the rules were changed. Go to the third and you can even see Icy saying that Nuka isn't affected by these rules. This is below Bungie-tier moderation. This is complete shit, in fact.

At least they're open to criticism and don't delete threads that reveal them as biased and sloppy. Spoiler Reporting insultive posts does nothing. Even though it's against the rules according to one of the mods, it's only being enforced on specific users. This is beyond retarded and this sloppy moderation is one the main reasons why we all left Bungie.net. I wouldn't make any deal out of this if not for the fact that every single post I make has to be approved by a moderator, in which about half of them don't make it through.

So I was reading up yesterday on how spinning a wobbly table around would fix it, due to some crazy mathemathics. Sitting here right now, I just tested that theory and it worked. It fucking worked.
Just kidding. I prayed and god fixed the table. lol math and science.
