I'm not going to talk about all the shit that happened with the airlines yesterday frankly because it's boring, depressing, and you won't care if you bother to read it, but I will mention this one guy I had to sit next to. He was (minimally) 400 pounds and could barely fit in his seat. They even had to get a seat extension for him because he was so fat. His belly was two inches away from the back of the seat in front of him.
Anyway, about an hour into the flight (from San Francisco to Dallas) he pulled out this bag of Butter Fingers. Like one of those giant bags you buy for Halloween. And there he is, just eating them like chips in a bag. There's maybe 50 Butter Fingers there and he's pulling them out, one by one, and unwrapping them and eating them all. One after another after another, he just kept going. I could not believe what I was seeing. Frankly, I was considering calling over the flight assistants because that fat asshole looked like he was ready to have a heart attack. Jesus man, why do you people do this to themselves? That's just fucking ridiculous.

I could say anything and you'd never believe me, but honestly I'm starting to look away from welfare as a solution to help the poor. It was this issue that's been making me think more libertarian like. My new rule of thumb for what responsibilities the government should have are based on whether or not the service can be privatized or not. The only problem with that is the fact that everything can be privatized and the only role the government would fulfill is law making and contracting (though I'd love to hear some arguments on whether or not a privatized military would be more effective than a public military). But that leads to the issue of which services are more efficient and effective when either privatized or in the hands of the public (the military being a prime example). If tolls for roads and highways were more efficient and better designed, a privatized road way system would seem much preferable to a public one (and more fair since richer people tend to use the roads far more than the middle class). So I guess the main question here is which services do you think are better suited for public hands over private hands and vise versa?

Things learned:
1. Yosemite = California's little New Hampshire 2. Californians are horrible drivers but nice people 3. Guns aren't that scary (I went to the shooting range for the first time and it was a blast) 4. It's hard to fish and kayak at the same time 5. California is full of gay people and pot heads 6. Infused vodka mixed with fruit punch isn't that bad (at the wedding) 6.333. I had 4 or 5 drinks before I got drunk this time 6.666. No hangover 7. You can't do anything if someone steals your seat on the plane 8. Asians have no concept of forming lines (not racist, that's actually a cultural thing for them) 9. Non-monogamous relationships are a big thing in California (when "cheating" is okay and acceptable within relationships) 10. Californians are exceptionally bad at science and math
If I make this list any longer you guys will start posting tl;dr so just consider this an AMA from here on out

Thread for reference: http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/83042206/0/0The argument is essentially that atheists cannot understand the logic behind god's existence because they are being manipulated by satan, the powers of the underworld. Literally no one can give me a good counter argument on Bungie.net LOL they must be stunned by my brilliance.

We would accomplish this by mandating that a microchip be installed in every American/Britbong. This microchip would give the government the power to terminate any fertilized eggs in the human body. If poor people were a dying species, our economy could probably do a lot better without so much spending on welfare and other free handouts poor people receive.
Would you support this policy? I would.

Got home around 3:00PM and fell asleep for 12 hours and here I am now
I definitely could have done better this semester but the first few weeks of college were really tough for me to adapt to. I keep running this dream through my head where I'm at an interview with my future employer and they ask me, "If you couldn't adapt to college that well, what makes you think you'll adapt to work any better?" I was on track of everything the second half of the semester, but the first half really screwed me up pretty bad. I might still have a chance at a 3.0 this semester, but I'll probably be just short of it. I was planning on maybe joining the military for a few years after I get my chemical engineering degree anyway, so maybe employers look at me differently after that, but who knows really.
ITT: Post college struggles, ambitions, and plans.

Slave economy and fascism are heavily underrated IMO mostly because people are unable to imagine it coming from the society we live in. It's all about efficiency, the people can be placated under all economic systems if need be without having to give them the right to property or speech. You can argue that technological progress would be strained and slowed in a slave economy, but I think the importance of innovation is heavily overrated. We can placate the rulers of the slave economy as well, if they're not happy without air conditioning efficiency or transportation.

...are secretly rapists? Knowing that feminism would bring justice to the 90% of women who claim they've been raped at some point in their life and to the men responsible for this atrocity, I think it's just too obvious that these male anti-feminists are afraid they'll never be able to rape again.
What is your opinion on rape and how men try to belittle and cover up the issue?

So I have the flu (as you've probably figured out since I've made like four threads about it) and I've been taking all these fucking medicines and the only thing that's actually worked (if just slightly) is the kids Ibuprofen medicine. But the Phenylephrine nasal decongestant pills and the Mucinex that I took at the same fucking time haven't done shit for me. I don't even feel slightly different than I did a couple hours ago.
Moral of the story: don't buy this crap it's fucking worthless.
edit: sorry i drop words all the fucking time and don't catch them unless i re-read my post like 5 times
