This thread is not about the users which live in this box, this thread is merely a discussion about the box itself. Generally, the sympathy box entails a narrow variety of threads in which users write overly long posts to get people to feel bad for them. There's often no real discussion value to the threads, but the idea itself is pretty ingenious. These users are able to soar in popularity and likability over night simply by using pity on unsuspecting forum members. Recently, the sympathy box has been going crazy with activity. Users no longer need to have jobs, they simply need to write up a sad story and attach a donation bin at the bottom of the thread. White knights serve as the sympathy box's 'sword', making sure those who do not donate to the pity-seekers are seen horrible people who belong in the Hell.

What is your opinion on the growing sympathy box in Septagon? Can people be milked forever for their pity and their spare change or will we eventually see an end to whine spam that has plagued these forums for the past two months?

You know, the guys who don't go to school or go to work and take in tons of government benefits and internet charity money. Do you hate them deep down for being lazy assholes or do they have just as much a right to post here as the rest of us normal people do?

I think it's quite belittling to debate over whether or not it's happening since there is already a scientific consensus on the matter that it is, so it might be best to not bother posting here if you still deny global warming/anthropologenic global warming.


Anyway, I have some serious doubts about how economically, politically, and scientifically realistic it is to reverse or even slow the warming of the atmosphere. I feel like all we can really do is wait for the changes to start taking effect and put faith in ingenuity to save our economy as best we can. Global warming is a threat to economics after all, let's not forget. The effects of global warming should alter food supplies, natural resources (including water), and weather patterns, all of which would take a serious amount of 'money' to deal with.

Do you have any idea on how we should confront the problem of global warming?

I made this post first on Bungie.net, hence why I'm wrapping this in a quote. My opinion on this subject has evolved after discussing it but I honestly don't feel like rewriting this whole thing.

It's completely true that gender and sex aren't synonymous, but the differences aren't as far reaching as the femina­zi co-opted LGBTrans movement extremists would have you believe. The mental-physical attribute of male authoritativeness is based on the male biological role as the provider, the hunter, and the leader as witnessed in literally all ancient societies and tribes. Male authoritativeness was not determined by a coin flip back in ancient ages so that they could differentiate the genders by a social-esque. There was no social construct to separate the genders, biology had already done so. Point is, you are not "assigned a gender" you are merely born with one. If you'd rather live as the opposite sex and are willing to pay for the surgery being fully aware of the medical risks, go ahead, but if this is the case, then you have a disorder, not a natural uniqueness. The same goes for the various non-heterosexualities with the reason being that there seems to be no evolutionary benefit for humans to behave in those manors. However, of course, if you feel better as a different sex or feel better having an attraction towards the opposite sex, you should feel free to act upon those urges. But when it comes to diagnosis, you shouldn't be surprised to hear that you are disordered.

Admittedly however, you could make the argument that there may be some evolutionary benefit to non-heterosexualities simply based on how widespread homosexuality is in the population, especially considering it exists in other species.

I'd also like to extend this point to say that there is no such thing as all these imaginary genders that have been circulating throughout Tumblr, Facebook, and other feminist-dominated social media sites. A gender cannot exist without a biological sex to base itself off of.

It would be illiberal to say that non-heterosexuals and transmen and transwomen should be oppressed and/or discriminated against, so do not glean that impression from this post. I am merely making a scientific implication about the relationship between gender and sex.

Reasons why Obama would do this?
