The place I roleplay already has a pre-established world to work with, and all the people I roleplay with are VERY detailed. Quality can come from live chat, even if it has issues with brb's and newcomers being one liners.
That sounds really disorganized if there are numerous people using a single chat.
You would be surprised. The popularity of the site has gone down significantly since it started out. But even with the chaos at the start it was quiet organized with a very strict set of rules. Nowadays the rules are more loose.

Doing it on a forum provides more room for details, along methods of organizing. Live chats are more fluid, but the posts are sometimes rushed. The roleplays need a backstory or drive to keep the interactions moving along.

NOTE: This is talking about chat, tabletop or forum roleplaying. NOT RPGs.
So I gotta question for all you roleplayers like me. What genre is the most enjoyable to roleplay? ((SFW please))
And, what is your preferred way of roleplaying? Live Chat? Forum? Tabletop? Etc?
Mine personally would be Fantasy, realistic roleplays are boring to me, being able to fly a motha fuckin dragon to the next city? Or sending bursts of magic at your enemies? HELL YES.
Oh, and my favorite way to roleplay is live chat.

I roleplay when I am NOT playing a video game, on a different site. I do enough roleplaying there, so no I don't really roleplay in an rpg.

Is video game movies/shows becoming popular again?
Please say no.
Too late
Video game movies coming out over the next few years:
Ratchet and Clank Warcraft Assassin's Creed Sly Cooper Mortal Kombat (just recently announced a few weeks ago)
Where is Shia Lebeouf going "nononononononono" when you need him?

You act like this is surprising.
The guy redirected the attention, and now media will blast it everywhere. It's nothing new, the guy only did it to keep the attention off of what he did, and instead keep it on what he blames his actions for.
It's fucked up really. If this shit does make it to the mass media and they discuss that the video games actually did it, I'm going to have a fucking brain aneurysm.
Like they'll be able to do anything about it. Unless there is enough scientific facts showing violent games to be a negative, they can't ban them.
Plus, there have been more positives coming from games than negatives. Almost all the people that killed "because of video games" are either dumb or mentally ill.
Does media wanna talk about how action games have been able to help people with issues in their hands?(or the rest of the body with Kinect, Wii, etc) No, they'll talk about the juiciest story to increase ratings instead of the informative ones. And like the mindless sheep people can be, they'll listen to the bias and use it as fact.
Yeah, especially old people that always say "oh it's the metal music and violet video games like Halo that make people do all this shit"
No, if anything that shit is therapy for me.
One thing I can hope for is the acceptance for video games from the next generation, as they have grown up with them and would be happy to see them continue unlike some of this generation. It was the same with Movies, Comics and music genres.
