It's not bad. My friend set up the games which apparently takes quite a bit of work. He also set it up so there was an auto roll for our abilities, that way we didn't have to calculate a bunch of shit just to attack an enemy.

Dragon's Dogma seems really cool
And really bad at the same time.
The combat is one thing that is above and beyond almost any other game in the genre. It's held back by a few things (such as graphics and some mechanical things), but since it's on PC now, we can expect mods. Lots and lots of mods.
Hopefully mods that add
-Fast Travel
-Random enemies in different places
-Pawns that will SHUT UP.
-And a better story.
Gameplay looks awesome though.
-Dark Arisen adds Fast Travel
-Random enemies would change up aspects of the game, but sure
-You can make them
-Doesn't need improvement, what does are the characters
I need a new PC and fast.
The only thing stopping me from getting hype as fuck is how far away that goal is...
-Ya got me there -Enemies spawning in the exact same spot down to the pixel is repititive, at least scale up with more dangerous creatures popping up. -Only pawns will shut up, other characters won't. -Characters are important, fix the characters and you have a MUCH better story.

I have nothing against it.
If people are having fun people are having fun. I don't know if DnD counts as "roleplaying" but I have a friend that has friends that are into it and he's talked about having me come along with him when he's invited to a session some time.
Yeah it counts, i'm talking a about roleplay that doesn't have the limits of a video game. So D&D counts. Also, try it out with your friend if you can, a lot of fun with a good GM and players.

Jeez, I haven't RP'd in forever, I used to do a fair bit of forum RPing before dropping off since my timezone was terrible for it, I was always at school when the RPs were going on
That's one of the good things about forum roleplay, you don't have to be around as often, just pop on and reply every once and awhile.
But it's much slower paced.
I feel live chats are more fun because improv.
I prefer it too.

Highly doubt it ever will.
Not everyone shows interest in it, even though it's basically an easier, less judgemental version of acting. Okay, good roleplay isn't easy early on.
