I am a vassal for the Targs atm XP
And my way is to have the Cavalry follow me, have the archers in a flanking position and the infantry charging.
Break them with the cavalry, weaken them with archers and the infantry finishes them off
That's actually almost what I do.
Cavalry follow me, I lead them real far away and take them almost behind
Infantry charge
I position the archers on hills or some other advantage spot.
Moving the archers away to the side is the best idea. Then having the cavalry follow you keeps them from getting surrounded and pulled off the horse While you on foot army charges forward keeping most of the attention. By the end of the battle you can have everybody charge and pick off the remaining guys.
