I played on 360. Laggy as all hell in some areas but overall worked well.

If I saw my opposing government dressing their soldiers up as a character from a sci fi movie, I wouldn't be very intimidated lol
I think the sci-fi part is pretty irrelevant in terms of intimidation. If you aren't intimidated by a troop of soldiers coming at your position wearing full body armor, merely based off of a sci-fi film, you done fucked up.

Kinda funny to think about. As technology progresses we're given more options and doorways. We went from rugged and functional to functional but somewhat comfortable.
Eventually, I wouldn't be surprised if the "cool factor" made its way into official things as a big standard.

"Yeah, but it doesn't look cool enough. It needs more cool stuff. Back to the drawing board."
Intimidation factor is still prevelant. If you compare the US special forces to others, we look scary as fuck.
Normal troops looking like this, not only looks like we're miles ahead. But they look like death machines.
And assuming it offers more protection, we'd suffer less casualties on top of that.
Helmets in the field have been known to be little help to anything above a 9mm. But if this helmet can block an assault rifle round I would wear it, plus it would make me badass.
You suppose that sniper round was 9mm?
Damn, okay most helmets. Any book I read on military has at least someone not wanting to use it due to it being ineffective.

Even if the main base styles of play are:
Fat tank
Nimble rogue
Squishy mage
You can really change up how you play with different weapons(all weapons attack differently), armor(looks, weight and defense), your rings(giving different bonuses and the items you use in battle.
Plus every enemy you face, as long as it looks different, plays different. With different attacks, defenses, skills and items. The bosses being very unique in how you fight them.
Last is the story...yeah there is one. Every item you pick up can help explain bits and pieces of the lore in Dark Souls. Talking to NPC's unravels different pieces of the puzzle as well, and just looking around checking every nook and cranny reveals more. However a lot is left up to interpretation.

Coding class time, learning CSS with HTML to create layouts of a website today.
