The Flood / Re: worst airport experiences
« on: April 04, 2016, 11:26:25 PM »
Hmm. I remember an awkward time. My first time passing through the airport was interesting, at least. On the return trip home, since I'd memorized the procedures, I decided to try and help the people going through my shit go through it a little faster by doing everything ahead of time one step ahead of them before they asked me to.

Anyway, apparently doing things before airport people tell you to do them makes them extremely nervous and I had security called on me. It didn't take long to sort things out but it was embarrassing, to say the least.

Oh the wonders of the internet age. So much information and the potential for communication.

But you get unlimited exposure and free reign to spread toxic ideas like a virus with impunity.

343i has such a cringey fucking sense of humour jesus fuck.

YouTube

They can't keep getting away with it.

343 reminds of those nerd types who're heavily invested into a series and end up thinking where the series could go in an elaborate attempt to make it better then the base producers, but then get their ideas shot to shambles when put under scrutiny.

Heart's in the right place. But they're nerds.

I dunno. Never had an idea of one. Even if and when I put some thought into it I couldn't come up with a conclusive picture. Just give me a quiet comfortable space and I'll be fine.

Could literally give me a cardbord box and I'd make due with it.

I think I remember a time when Mr. Screams was being dammicky to Ender so I pulled a white knight and start giving him shit. Then proceeded to have a sensible conversation with him and then everybody sung kumbaya and went on their merry way.

Well, you know, I wouldn't wager that it matters too much now. I think the whole thing with Mr. Psyche sealed the deal for his reputation over here. And I noticed something afterwards.

People ignored him. Hell, even the people that poked sticks at him seemed to ignore him for the most part. If there were ever a way to figuratively kill somebody over the internet, it'd be by ignoring them.

The only exception might be Loaf as he seems immune to having his personal bubble burst and he'll talk even if nobody's around. Other than that, I think Ele just hitched a ride on out.

In all due honesty, I can't say I dislike him as much as the main bunch here do. I feel sad for him more than anything. With a bit of luck hopefully he moved on elsewhere to someplace that suits him better.

Reading this makes me think now.

I'm I really bad like Ele?

Well you're not ignored to the extent Ele was and as far as I know you don't harrass Mr. Psyche for an excess of 6 months or so.

So I think you're doing fine.

Some folks might not be keen on you but you've got ones here that are. It's like that wherever you go. Look at me, after all. There's folks here that like me, and some that don't. Or they just don't care. You can't be pals with everybody. But you've got enough folks here that are your pals, I'd think.

Well in some ways I fucked up a 5 year friendship because of my actions on this site. So I have regrets.

And he harassed Psy? Jesus man. I knew he gave Kitsune shit but harassing Psy for 6 months... Just wow.

The guy is a lot like Apache. He harassed me for months after we banned and kicked him from a private group for making threats to anyone that didn't believe in god.

What did Ele even harass him with?

Who knows. Next time analarchy is up go rooting around. Psyche made a thread about it.

And, hey, friendships come and go.

Do you know how many friends I've had the misfortune of losing via my own actions? I'm not even going to count the ones in person. Just the ones here and on bungie over the years. If memory serves at a bare minimum it's at least 5-6.

Times change and so do people. It's rare that you'll meet somebody whom ages at the same pace you do while maintaining the same mindset. It's even rarer to hold on to friends for periods of more than a few decades at the very most.

Don't beat yourself up about it. What's done is done. What matters at this point is if you've learned from it. Our mistakes mean and will accomplish nothing if we don't learn from them.

What happened?

Yeah, okay, so you know that picture of a dog pulling a towel off some chick's ass?

Spoiler

Found it. Anyway, Ele did what that dog basically is doing to Mr. Psyche for about six months or so on a daily basis with PMs.

No, men talking about penises is homoerotic. This does not vibe with the Tea Party atmosphere I am trying to culminate.

Yeah y'know what would also be effective?
Nuclear warheads.

Too quick. Napalm and phosphorus bombing runs would do the trick.

Or people could all just grow up and stop murdering each other that'd be pretty effective too.

Best part of Warzone is the marines tbh.

Your team is losing heavily and getting absolutely steamrolled. Like, this is Normandy Beach teir chaos and your team's the one taking the assfucking.

As you retreat further into the base, you happen to bump paths with a marine.

Years of seeing Covenant wiping out humanity mercilessly, death after death, existing as a meager human when the lowest Forerunner construct could vaporize him with utter ease, and ultimately, still being a marine while the volunteer Spartan IV project exists, thus meaning he is a true failure as a human combat specialist, has left this man utterly dead inside.

He stares at you briefly with a smile and says in the friendliest voice he can muster, "Hey there Spartan!" Before turning to walk into a literal tidal wave of frag grenades from the oncoming enemy team.

With those lobotomite teammates me and Zonda get we may as well be playing solo against a full lobby.
Maybe they code in NPC's acting as real people to artificially inflate the population, but they use AI akin to friendly Marines from the Bungie Halo days.

The eye is watching

That's literally insulting the intelligence of the AI.

No AI could stoop to the levels of retardation that teammates can.

"Oh look it's one guy with a Boltshot coming to fight all 3 of us. We could jump him but instead lets all run away past the only competent one of our teammates while he's in the middle of a magnum duel so he can get shot in the back of the head, thus giving the enemy team free access to the oversheild while we sit in Plaza with our thumbs up our asses."

"Or we could just throw grenades at that same teammate"

"Oh look the enemy flag is down right next to the capture plate, and the blues are about to rush the base and it's next score to win....give me a second to run to the other side of the fucking map to pick up a fucking storm rifle. As a matter a fact I think i'll take a swim in the fucking death pit on my way back"

"Power weapons in 10 seconds guys, we all have to rush DMR"

You know those rapist marines inside bases on Warzone.

I've seen them do a mop up operation on three enemy players trying to take over the base and come out on top. Had those five marines been replaced with teammates in the match the base would've been lost.

It's a harsh tactic, though. Think of it this way.

Let's say you've got a cunt of a relative out there in the world doing the oh so cunty things that a bad relative does.

And you obviously don't support that. You've done what any reasonable person would and cut them out of your life and you've not had contact with them for years. Then the military rolls up one night, busts your door down and beats the shit out of you.

Fun.
