DAILY REMINDER THAT MLK WAS KILLED WHEN HE STARTED ATTACKING CLASSISM

What's your point?

The trail of dead bodies left by people through history who wanted to change stuff for the better sort of speaks for itself at how much people don't want things to change.

It's a lot of work.

I'm not afraid of work.
Farms can be expensive and time consuming.

Jobs are time consuming. Life is time consuming. Sitting on your butt doing nothing is time consuming.

Also, he doesn't neccessarily need a farm. Just a big garden. Or a greenhouse.

Notice how I rarely ever post in your or PSU's threads? Touche friendo. The subject at hand brings nothing out of me to speak. So I don't, most of the time.

Same for Roman's stuff save for casual talk and the occassional rant at him. You ever have some days where you read something and it's upsetting for no apparent reason? That's basically Roman to me on some days because if he's the real deal about what he posts then he's a cunt sack of potatoes.

As for sex, for me personally, I don't kiss and tell. It's not something I'd ever talk about with any people under any circumstances if I were involved in a relationship.

So naturally, I don't really take too keenly on discussing it with other people either. Plus, I'm on my own and I always have been. I'd really like a close partner but that's not happening any time soon.

So, to listen to people talk of their relationships or interactions, especially if they're cunts about it like Roman, upsets me. Here's somebody who has the ability to have a relationship. And they treat it like crap, disrespecting what they have when they could be existing in the state I'm trying to dig myself out of.

I don't really like being salty. So you're right Charles. I try to steer clear of most things that would agitate me.

TL:DR
Spoiler
Misinformation and missrepresntation done by modern day tumblrites doesn't fucking help things. But I understand the real stuff that matters in their skewed vision because I have a semi functioning brain that can look past the sensationalist garbage.

For people who don't have semi-functioning brains, this is not the case, and it only serves to breed more stupid things.

I was primarily using that first bit as a statement. People shouldn't always have to wait on a group effort to just magically happen. They should get up and try to influence things themselves as much as they're able in their own lives. That's the manner in which I try to live, at least. I don't, and shouldn't need to have to be part of a group effort in order to change things. I, and people, should strive to do as much as they can on their own as they're able to.

Second bit, I never asked to have my hand held and the statement didn't imply it. It's just fucking impolite to criticise somebody but provide no alternative to help lead them elsewhere out of their current direction.

Third bit. I didn't deny that the points in the comic listed wen't valid. But they're skewed due to the lack of other information and painted as an absolute thing, when there's other factors to be considered. It's like warmongering. Shunting one side into a simple and plain label that affords no polarities to the respective sides.

Fourth. If I was going to take a big stance and focus my life on utterly minimalizing black racism in america as much as possible, I'd study all the variables and all the windows of data to first make an accurrate summary of the groups of people I'd be trying to change, both white, and black.

Remember, other factors have to be taken into account. Then, once I've got an accurate picture and plan, push into motion. You've got to ask why blacks are racially profiled by white cops. With white people, part of the racism comes from old ways of thinking. Which means you have to focus your efforts on raising a generation of kids that is detached from that old way of thinking through education.

Another factor is, of course, that blacks are stereotypified. But a stereotype has real world implications. That's what it's founded on. And if you look at the percentages, a lot of blacks in america live in ghettos, poor neighborhoods, have acess to poor education, you name it.

And that makes a shitty, generalized image for white people to look at. So, at the same time, I'd aim for a means of fixing things with the blacks. Just like educating a new generation of white kids, I'd aim for making a new generation of black kids who aren't going to end up in a ghetto, as part of a gang as their only option.

The more the generalized opinion changes, the more the interaction of both sides alters, and the less examples of bad people doing bad shit to one another, the better the chances.

Five. Racism is an old aspect to human nature. Humans still have a lot of old primal stuff left over in them. In one hand, I'd pursue social changes and alterations to society to try and curb as much as possible. And in the other, I'd direct efforts into science.

All of our traits come from our brain and our genetics. The more we know about those, the more we can help change things. We can try and fix people who have issues, and eventually, if we become good enough at it, we can control and design how we're made and what makes us tick. Evolution is slow. We need to speed up our evolutionary process a bit.

But that comes with more implications. You'd need a science community that was up to the task of doing things like that, but not turning the world into something like a shit dystopian future full of class and strictly bound humans limited to their biological engineering.

In short, verb, if I was going to end racism, I'd put all my efforts into dismantling the entire world and its current society, and rebuilding it into something better. I'd do it piece by piece, area by area, trying to set things on a course that would lead to us being something better than we are now.

And lastly.

Recognizing my white cracker boy privilege isn't a burden on my conscience anymore because at the moment, I dislike humankind equally for all their dumb stuff. Not just one isolated group.

But I frequently dismantle myself and my thinking and look for other angles in my thoughts that I might not have seen the first time, so that when I look at somebody else other than myself, I don't let myself and my own mess get in the way of seeing people as they are. And, when I look at myself, I can see the ups and the downs too. I can see the advantages and the disadvantages.

Funny you should mention it though. My disliking of myself was and is fueled by the fact that I had advantages in life over other people.

There's also another issue here, in relations to that comic. People being fucking vague. They'll talk about white privilege but fail to realize that america isn't the only fucking country on the map.

What might apply to the US might not apply everywhere else. Which creates another problem. You've got the sensationalist, information forgetting anti-white crusaders going off on "white" people as a whole across the world when actually, they're going off on caucasian americans.

Which completely and utterly blinds them to the fact that in other parts of the world, as a "white" person, you'd stick out like a sore thumb, have a set of prejudices against you, and you'd likely be discriminated against in some sense.

But all they'll ever talk about is how white people have the upper hand. But only in america.

And that's the real problem here with that new age wave of social defenders. Misinformation and the leaving out of critical information just to paint a one sided picture that's an absolute portrayal of "white"
Spoiler
(fuck that's a laughable generalization of a term, are we going to include white japanese guys or white scottish people as white people too?)
people as a whole.

In which case his statement about white privilege granting the ability to be ignorant to the world at large?

Go fucking figure, he ranted only about american race issues.

I bet even with your fancy overstocked inventory you'd still put nasty prices on trading for it, you Corpus.
.-.

nah trading is scary, i tried, i should try to again since i could make decent plats from it.

I legitimately relate there. I don't know much on certain aspects to the warframe community, but if my time as a trader in TF2 has taught me anything, I'm sure that certain items have a fluctuating market worth.

And trading is scary when you're worried that you're selling your item overpriced or for not enough.

And frustrating when you get that person who doesn't understand that you don't want to get ripped off by getting a Bo staff in exchange for your odanta prime.

Acknowledging it doesn't stop it.
Nothing can stop it but decades of conscious group effort.

Quote
you don't just fucking acknowledge it and then go on your merry way.
Literally nobody is saying this.

Quote
I didn't read that cancer of a comic.
You might want to do that, then.

1. Bullshit. I don't need a group hand holding session to tell me how to alter my life. Nobody does. It starts with singular people. It's only ever considered a group when multiple singular people are accounted for.

2. Gee that comic sure is full of telling me to acknowledge my shit and then ends on a blank note.

3. Read the comic. So let's look at the examples given.

So the first being, percentage of prisoners. That's a fair point, but only to a degree. The american police force is well known for being corrupt. However, this little stat count here takes no consideration or makes no mention whatsover that, big shocker, maybe there's a higher percentage of crime rate in the two respective groups listed.

We also have to count incidents of a crime being reported in the first place. In which case for whites, the report rate might be down when compared to blacks. I'm not saying that there's some black guy in prison who was put there unjustly over something really minor involving the police, but the comic treats this like the disparity alone is soley based off privilege. Which is a load of shit. Last note on that. If there's a black guy in prison for what could be considered an unjust reason, the same can happen to a white guy.

Second. A white guy with a criminal record is more likely to be hired than a black guy with a clean slate. Okay seriously? This one is borderline playing the victim card. The comic sure as fuck isn't listing the stats on the black people who didn't legitimately meet the job standards, which a part of that percentage will be. But, you know how people are. "I didn't meet the qualifications so it must be racism."

That panel also doesn't cross reference fuck all. How about we look at the percentage of white guys with a clean record not being hired? Because at this point, that's all this particular panel focuses on. Again, I'm not saying that hiring biases don't exist. But this panel is hyping up shit.

Third panel here about the news. That's actually a legitimate issue. But again, the way it's written is downplaying things in the favor of one side. And, honestly, let's stop for one second here. White guys doing crime not being paid attention to in the news isn't even a privilege. It's actually a bad thing that the news doesn't fucking cover shit when it happens. That's not privilege that's just the news networks being cock stuffers like they've always been.

And the last panel. "White privilege is the privilege to be ignorant to the world us."

EK FUCKING SCUSE ME.

Let's not take into account the gaping plothole in that asinine statement, about the fact that nearly all fucking human beings can, are, and will be ignorant to the world around them.

The comic isn't neccessarily wrong. But it's sensationalist drivel, and it purposely ignores and makes no claim of mentioning other vital statistics and factors. Which is a fucking problem when you consider any issue, or tackling any sort of problem.

And misenterpreted shit likes this helps spawn a wave of slacktivision kids who don't do fuck all but

A) Complain about a problem yet provide no solution.

B) Claim that nothing can be done about it until a big group effort takes place, thus deluding themselves on some fake self perception that they're waiting for the big moment when everybody turns around, when actually, all they're doing is procrastinating on changing their own life and actually getting up and doing something about the fucking issue.

Seriously. Fuck the people that do this shit. Fuck the people that perpetrate this skewed sensationalist version of fighting for equality, and fuck people who have the gall to complain about an issue but make no hint of trying to make a constructive statement or even think of one.

Well I'm sorry, that's the wrong fucking answer then. You don't just fucking bitch at somebody and take this moral high ground bullshit stance and then go quiet when said reciever of bullshit asks what to do about it.
Like I said, you can do something about it.

Acknowledge it.

Because it's better not to be ignorant.

Acknowledging it doesn't stop it. Acknowledging it, and then coming up with a plan of physical, tangible action that puts a stop to things is what's needed.

I don't buy into this slacktivision shit. If you find a problem with yourself, you don't just fucking acknowledge it and then go on your merry way. You get off your ass and you change it.

And no, I didn't read that cancer of a comic. I skimmed because it set off my warning bells. But fine. I'll read the damn thing and find those examples given.

Because said comic bitched about the disparity of somebody having a higher degree of something than another person while providing absolutely no answers or help whatsoever to correct it.
The point is that you can't correct it. You can only be aware of it. This was made clear in the comic itself.

The idea is that it's much better to be fully aware of your privilege than to be ignorant or glib about it.

Well I'm sorry, that's the wrong fucking answer then. You don't just fucking bitch at somebody and take this moral high ground bullshit stance and then go quiet when said reciever of bullshit asks what to do about it.

Privilege isn't some magical fucking thing that comes from nowhere. It has identifiable roots which can be altered.

You live in Canada.

If you want to be anything other than a mule in the US, you need a degree.

Ontario is literally America Jr. so, no. Fairly sure the job climate is the exact same.

I'm sure you can find good work in the U.S., too. You just have to not be picky.

Last time I checked, I needed my grade 12 to work at Mickie D's. The only jobs I've ever been able to take legally are stuff like janitorial stuff in certain institutions, and laborer work in construction jobs.

Then again, different province.

I've got it on both.

nah, that's acceptable

If I didn't have Nikana Prime on Xbox id probably switch. And an OP Attica

Speaking of fun guns I crafted a Tonkor a while back and suped it up into something entertaining. I was just about to ascend it into god form but then I broke my arm. I can't really play much at the moment with it. So I just get to sit here daydreaming about doing solo 70 runs with it.

It currently has a 87% crit chance and a crit multiplyer of 5.5

Which turns it's base damage that I souped out to 3000 into 15,000.

All I need is a forma and I can give it multi-shot for map nuking abilities.

Christ lol

Any news on whether you have the parts?

Volt Prime Helmet. Nyx Prime systems. And Nova Prime blueprint.

No Mag, matey.

Don't do this.

If you're not looking into anything that you'd actually enjoy, then the stress ratio is always going to be undesirably high.
You don't "develop" passions

there's no actual job I'd enjoy, lol. I enjoy leisure. In terms of a career, I just need something that I can bear, not enjoy.

Well, see, you're mixing up the terms here.

Nobody enjoys a job because that's what it is. A job. So, you're not exactly wrong if you say there's no real job you'd enjoy.

But Verb's not wrong either. Developing or finding a passion and interest in something and potentially turning it into a career doesn't make it a job.

That makes it a hobby.

An anvil.

A vintage ice box.

Some old high quality, high powered amps.

Really old antique fire extinguisher. Glass ball with pinkish purple anti-fire liquid in it.

Antique train conductor's belt coin dispenser in perfect condition.

Antique toaster. Really antique. It's got the heat coil in the middle, and flaps on both sides that open up that you slot the toast into.

Antique oil lamps. Not just any kind either. Ship oil lamps.

Antique snowshoes.

Hand made wooden canoe and oars.

And, although it's not from a garage sale or a thrift store, I consider the regional dumping grounds a thrift store because of all the free shit you find there.

Like a vintage, perfectly working vinyl record player.

Or an entire house deck.

Are you fucking serious? That's "broke" to you? Do you dumb fucks not now how to manage money?

I don't even have that amount saved up yet. Goddamn quit your whining, you're not gonna be a millionare over night.

I don't even have anything saved at this point. In it comes, out it goes.

That 10 dollar head of lettuce plus tax is real.

You gotta' take effort to put some money aside

My usual method of saving works as such. 50% of what I make gets put into a safe, the other half is for spending on whatever I wish. That can only ever happen if I make excess. Which, by most accounts, I do. At the moment however, the stream of things required to be paid outnumbers my ability to make excess. And the safe took some big hits last year.

It's all fine and dandy to say "just save up." Try doing that when there's no expense that you can shave off and the costs go higher.

I can handle it though. I might be broke due to demand but I can juggle money well. I'm good at setting aside bits and pieces for stuff that arises later. Broke but not "in trouble" broke.

A lot. There's a place in my area that recycles inustrial waste from wood mills. The whole place is run by folks like that, except for the core staff, which are the people responsible for watching over everybody.

In my personal experience, honestly, I like them better than normal people. I know that the staff who work that mill are people with lesser degrees of the disease, and of course, people with higher forms of it are harder to work with. And I mean, anybody with it is hard to work with, I guess.

But they're genuinely nice people. They're actually innocent.

I roll up there and if they see me they wave every time. And they're happy about it. And that's what makes them innocent. It's not that they're dumb. But they're simplistic. They have the full range of human emotions and instincts, but due to the way their head is wired, it's all very..... simple.

There was another fellow I met on one of my appointments in the hospital not too long ago. Could tell he had something. But he loved movies. And he loved talking about movies. And it was something refreshing to me, to see somebody so happy. I mean, this guy, seriously loved movies.

What's sad to me though, is that a lot of them had hard times. The ones at the mill in my area, some of them, had really hard times. They're often mistreated poorly by people. As I've heard some stories told to me by the manager of that mill, who is also a really damn good person.

I make a note to myself. I try to treat those folks with the utmost respect and care when I meet them.

I see you got the good side of them.

Yeah, usually people with autism are sweet and innocent....usually. However mental issues hinder them from ever being capable of acting what could be called "normal". Singling them out and attacking them.

I give my brother a LOT of shit, a LOT. However if anyone else would dare do the same i'd sucker punch them. One of my favorite quotes say this

"Nobody messes with us but us."

You'll see me defending my autistic bro any day.

I didn't talk about the "bad" ones I've met either. Like I said. I've seen the good ones enough to respect them for who they are. And it's from them that I understand that I can't neccessarily be too harsh on the bad ones I've met either.
