Serious / Re: Currently waiting in line at a Trump rally
« on: March 10, 2016, 09:52:47 AM »
Are you still currently standing in line as your title would have me believe?

452
That's awful. Their numbers are way too low for proper population control.

Just give the police better armaments. They'd become exceedingly efficient at population control if they had bigger guns.

453
I recommend a silenced 800mm railgun for the job Loaf.

454
Behold, the folly of being overly picky.

Yes Loaf. Assassinate them.

People who invade and run away to AI enemies are cancer.

Not using one of your Seed of a Giant Tree on them.

Best item in the game.

Havel's or Rebel's greatshield with 100% magic resistance. That'll take care of the magic spam until their spell pool runs dry. If you don't think you're a good fighter in pvp, you don't have to neccessarily fight them. Just do a fight of attrition. Tank them and run.

There's a timer in pvp for red and blue phantoms that's about 5 minutes. If they haven't killed you in that time they get ejected back to their world.

You can also toss a human effigy into the bonfire to turn off co-op interactions of any kind for that local area around the fire.

The Flood / Re: I feel my friend is ignoring me
« on: March 09, 2016, 02:20:39 AM »
Well, I don't know if I can really help there. But maybe I can lend some perspective. I get tired a lot now. Physically and mentally. And there's one pal of mine who I keep in loose contact with. And there's some days, when he contacts me, that I just don't have the conviction to say anything. I do my best to speak and say something, at least, but eventually, I fall flat and go quiet.

It could be the case with your pal too. He just might be in a bad spot and not have the capacity to talk at the moment in time. But I'm gonna level with you.

Friends are overrated. 90% of them will let you down. They'll either change with time and drift away as they become different and older, or they'll let you down when you need them the most. It's rare to find somebody who will really stick with you and stand by you for long periods of time.

And you should understand that. I'm not saying that landing a good solid pal is impossible. But you should realize the reality of things. A lot of your friends, past, present, or future, will just be passerby in phases of your life.

The more you grow comfortable with yourself, the more that you push yourself to do things on your own, and realize that for most of the time, it will always be just you, the better off you'll be.

As for your pal. Give it some time. Don't press him too much. Just wait and see.

The Flood / Re: How Do You Gauge Other People's Intelligence?
« on: March 09, 2016, 02:09:12 AM »
I don't, really. For whatever reason I've always had trouble with that. I guess it's because I can't just look at a person and make a call unless it's already blatantly obvious.

I look at the ups, and I look at the downs of every person I meet. But I can never point at how intelligent they are because intelligence is hard to categorize into just a broad category of high or low. Instead, I see not how intelligent they are, but where their intelligence fits.

Called my mother up and told her there was apparently a special day today, gave her a hug, and then I dropped and slept the whole day.

Holy fuck the spartan laser is the most useless piece of shit

What the fuck is the point of it if it can't even kill one fucking spartan

It's not meant to kill sportons. It's meant to tickle the vehicle they're in.

You're gonna care when you're old enough to get a job and everything you've posted on here is freely given to your employers.
What's wrong with that?

Jobs having more control over your personal life is shit. Not getting the job because you made a casual post that some asshat in office might consider "offensive" on facebook or some backwater forum some years down the line, or getting fired over it, is pretty fucking gay.

I was wondering, what was Bungie's and 343's reason why we can't control the throw of a grenade? Control as in we're able to hold onto it till it explodes and we're able to control how far we throw it instead of the Hail Mary pass we do.
Balancing. That and Halo still takes a lot of cues from older shooters.

If you're looking for a lore reason it's because the Frag Grenades are set to prime on impact.

Why the fuck can't I punch my grenade and allah their asses to the next match then.
BALANCING

Considering the fact that in warzone 90% of the inside of a base turns into a nade rave, or any engagement involving more than two people, your argument is invalid.
u srs bruh

About as serious as I can get sitting underneath the pile of nades I see tossed in warzone on a daily basis.
And cooking grenades will make that better?

Yes.

I play a lot of matches where all there is to do is drive a scout hog because I can't carry 11 other people on my shit team while fighting 12 on their team.

I would have more fun allah ackbarring myself in casual "no fucks given" mode.

If you take the Mexican place, you can tip the chefs to put the rats they caught in their rat poison traps into his food that has meat in it.

He'll die, it'll look like a horrible accident for you, and you'll get promoted for having to go through such a traumatic work stress.

Meanwhile, the mexican restaurant will reconstitute itself a few blocks down after their current endevour was shut down for obvious health and safety reasons.

Everybody wins.

The Flood / Re: Locke vs 117 DEATHMATCH
« on: March 06, 2016, 09:35:57 PM »
If Chief was serious Locke would end up like those ODSTs.
We're talking about a a guy who was able to go toe to toe with a Sangheili zealot before he was a Spartan. With his augmentations and MJOLNIR, that puts him on par with the Master Chief.

I'm surprised Locke didn't combust into atomic dust from that bitch slap alone.

Lost something. Looked for it with the pile of stuff it should have been in. Got flustered and called it quits. Gonna be a long one tomorrow too.  Contemplating letting myself drop on the spot to sleep.
