If you punch yourself hard enough you could turn that pink eye into a beautiful black eye.

Then you'd get swag points at the party for being cool for having gotten into a fight.

Probably dead.

But hey. Look on the bright side. If I were dead I could listen to death metal and it would be perfectly fitting.

I'd actually argue that since 343 has taken the wheel, they've started a rather quickly growing body count.

If you want to get technical about it, technically whatever we create isn't really original.
Why would you shut me down like this

Dismantling things is fun.
Chop logic won't dismantle me!

As far as I know nothing in existence is immune to the slicing ability of Slap Chop.
Really? I thought that most people avoided pedantry.

I'll have you know that a Blend Tec blender is not shallow in its carrying capacity. Nor is it pedantic.

Jokes aside though.

I don't believe I've heard mention of your mother from you before, ele.
That's a strange thing to say. But after what happened last time I shared details about my life, I don't see myself ever talking about my mum on here, even if I somehow had a reason to. Challenger, ect.- there are some really poor human beings around here.

Stray offhand thoughts. Don't mind me.

Also, on basic inspection it seems like an unspoken rule. Not many on here ever go into finer detail about their family. Not that I'm complaining. Just off hand thoughts is all. Outta the blue.

Some GRADE A RUSEMASTER SHIT UP IN THIS BITCH.

On the topic at hand. Give me a couple years. Once I've got a greenhouse up I can eat all the glorious plants I want.

Although technically, no, I wouldn't be saving helpless animals because regardless of whether or not I eat them, somebody else will. 200 animals aren't just going to suddenly and miraculously not die in a slaughter house because I started eating more greens.

Well.
*shrug*

i appreciate her fervor

i would prefer it if future questions asked by me weren't answered until i finish the game, though

K.

Regarding how the flood aren't scary, Bungie do a shit job of setting a tone in a game. The novels depict the war as how fighting an ultra advanced alien empire where one of te species capture and eat humans. Eat them like hot dogs.

As for the flood not being scary...

This motherfucker is like to disagree.

I'm sorry, but a giant tentacle monster isn't scary.

Stop watching hentai then.

Apparently she lives in British Columbia. Spooky shit Meta. I know a little bit about personalities like that. Encounters I guess. You want to know what's really creepy?

You watch the clips of her in public? It's a switch. She's got a face and an act on in public. That's why cps can't bag her. Because she knows she's fucked. There was a person, in my family with a mental disorder. Psychopathic, depressively suicidal. They'd have fits of self harm and when you took them to the docs, they changed, like a switch. Hid perfectly and appeared normal.

And the docs never had concrete proof. It's disturbing to see that again. Because you can see it. Total fake face on in public when under scrutiny.

Two provinces away from me. Literally two or three days if I jumped into my truck and drove non-stop.

Not the kind of thoughts I want on my head Meta. To be honest though.

Why has nobody stopped it? Fuck child services at that point. Hell, even kidnapping the kid would be a better change of pace for him then waiting.

Well I turn 20 in January. I guess that's a bit of a milestone.

Add five years onto that and it's funny to think that you've lived approximately one quarter of your lifespan.

It's popular, it'll sell. Especially with that cult fanbase. When you think about it, 4-5 super popular games in one year is probably doing his wallet real good.

It's also obnoxious as fuck for the steam/gmod model porting community.

I have to wade through piles of those shit models on a daily basis to find something decent. It's almost as bad as the pony craze that took over a few years back where every day it was a new flood of the same garbage.

Fuck cults.
Give it time and it'll die out just like the ponies.

Do you know what's scary?

The ponies haven't died yet.

I think this series is like a cat. 9 lives.

This is what now? Number 4? Number 5?

Don't worry boys. It can only dodge the reaper for so long.

All right, taking a break. I'm so fucking bored.

No one has a favorite CE level?

or did nobody notice that i changed the title

Don't worry Verb. We know your pain.

On the topic at hand, I always just loved level nine, Keyes. I won't spoil nothing.

But it was fun delving straight into utter chaos.

I also just think it would be an interesting and refreshing spin to see a strong, female character who happens to be unattractive. Not only would that be unique and consistent with reality—it would also make a good statement. Characters don't have to be attractive to be interesting or likable.

But you never see that. Ever. Why? Because men like ogling pretty women.

I was reminded of something the other day Verb, while playing Fable II. Actually that was a few months ago. Anyway. A character that you can certainly use as an interesting example. She wasn't the main protagonist in the story, but she was a main character.

Hammer.

Hammer, in the story, is the Hero of Strength. As a result, she's somewhat of a giant, towering over almost everybody else in the game. Not only is she shaped like a muscle bound woman, but she's weighty, partially. And throughout the game, others often make fun of Hammer for her apparent size, noting her as being troll-like and other such insults.

And, at first, Hammer comes off as seemingly dull witted, nothing more than a simple pacifist monk. But throughout the course of the game, she eventually shows an insightful, thoughtful nature. And at one point, a rival among the group who she often butts heads with, an intellectual, Garth, admits that she's not as dumb as she looks.

And she's always stood out to me as an interesting character. She's everything you wouldn't be expecting, really.

Don't you just love how jaw related shit can fuck around with your head too?

Gee thanks, nevermind the bitch of an ache in your mouth, something that's almost always constantly moving, but we'll throw in bonus pains for your skull and inner squishy bits as well.
oh god when i move my tongue to the area where the tooth is coming out i taste like blood or something, it feels weird and turning me on

Apologies for this.

But, enjoy a very special brand of addictive yet painful hell. Feeling like shit from your gums but being constantly drawn to it for some reason.

As a fun fact, you can shoot the arms off the combat flood forms and they can't hurt you.  They'll just follow you around.
Didn't think of that.

there were so many

Overall, because my expectations were set so low, I'm pretty indifferent towards this level. I don't know what to think. It really wasn't that hard, for two reasons: 1. The shotgun kicks way too much ass, and 2. The sentinels are pretty OP, too. The level was almost like purgatory, in the sense that I kinda felt invincible, and there was no tension whatsoever.

The ending pissed me off for obvious reasons. We learn that the Flood can only be destroyed if we starve them to death, and the most efficient way of doing that is to destroy all sentient life with Halo.

...Which is clearly the best solution ever. And of course, they don't go for it, because "muh sentient life".

Bull fucking shit.

I think someone mentioned that I'd find 343 Guilty Spark (the character) annoying. I didn't, really. I kinda liked him. Not only was he kinda funny, he's the one taking the most LOGICAL route: Activate Halo. I'd rather be fucking dead than be ravaged by the Flood. Honestly.

Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh.

So yeah, not gonna write up a full update of this level. I don't really have much else to say about it anyway.

Potential Spoiler in the video

YouTube

Here Verb. Watch this after you clear level nine. This gives a little bit of context as to how peachy being infected is. And if you want some more context, look up what happened to Private Jenkins later on.

You'd be right. Better dead than essentially being overwritten and part of an organic singularity.
