See, that seems interesting. But I'm not quite sold on it. Nothing stops me from trying it of course. But I'm not exactly sure if you can just up and change the light waves emitted by certain hardware that's built into a computer screen. It might make warmer colours at night but that technically wouldn't change the light and UV that's being used to project those colours, would it? Gonna try it though and see what happens. Couldn't hurt any more than it already does, right?

Where the fuck was all this shit when I was in school. God damn man I never went anywhere interesting and in the span of like 5 years after I left now all these schools can suddenly afford to shoot kids off in every direction to other countries.

Well, I'm never one to argue much in person in real life. I've always liked to keep my views down low since expressing them usually just lands you in shit you otherwise could have avoided. Obviously it's a different case over the internet.
I think, at one point, I might have said that it was worth arguing or having a debate with people over the internet. But now, I don't think so. It's too much of a time waster and just exposes you to more bullshit one way or another, exactly like real life. I'll discuss things for a little bit, but I won't invest much beyond a conversation that's not going to land anywhere meaningful.

Yeah lately I've been experiencing headaches and the like. I blame Cheat for making the Sep7 background a dark blue. I also have a pair of shades that reflect 93% of UV light, but wearing them at the computer only makes it worse.
The special shades that are designed for computers aren't tinted like sunglasses. But yeah, I noticed that as well. I have to wear sunglasses at all times now, but I notice that in dark areas, or when dealing with some stuff on the computer, it's a strain on my eyes while wearing the shades since everything is darker.

I've been doing this for many years and have never had any problem with my eyes.
Just because you've not experienced anything doesn't make it any less real. Even if you're not experiencing any active effects, blue light still damages your retinas, which is something a computer screen emits in plenty. I figured I'd just bring this up since it's a possibility that all of my eyes woes at the moment might have been caused by something like this, or at least, made worse by my family's poor eye history. Not saying you have to do anything about if ya don't want to. But look around for yourself and the studies all say the same thing.

So, my eyes have been killing me lately, and while I wait for the visit with a specialist to diagnose what I've got, I'm doing a little bit of research on eye troubles and the like. So, I had an interesting discussion with my town doc, which lead me to do some more research.
Computer screens emit blue artificial light, on parallel to the sun's UV rays. Blue light reaches deeper into the eyes and its cumulative effects can cause damage to the retina. Studies have also found that exposure to too much blue light is the cause of age related macular degeneration(cataracts and eye related losses and diseases)
Nowadays, there's an increase in the use of digital devices and modern lighting such as LED lights and compact fluorescent lamps, most of which emit a high level of blue light. CFLs contain about 25% of harmful blue light and LEDs contain about 35% of harmful blue light.
Continual extended screen time can impact your eyes in two major ways. The first and most common side effect is digital eye strain. When you look at a screen, your blink rate drops significantly, meaning that your eyes tend to be less moisturized and tend to dry out, causing irritation.
If you've ever experienced slightly blurry vision after staring at the computer all day, that's sign of digital eye strain. Maybe your eyes feel dry, runny or tired after using a computer, or maybe you'll get a headache after a few hours on. These symptoms are often so common that we don't even recognize them.
The second big issue being what I addressed up above, too much exposure to blue light which damages your eyes over time and can lead to other fun eye related diseases. Blue light also disrupts your internal sleep clock, by tricking your brain into thinking that it's not time to go to sleep yet.
So, if you're up on the computer late at night, the closer you get to bed time, the more the exposure from your screen will scramble your brain's signals, causing sleep deprivation and difficulty sleeping when you finally do go to sleep.
It's commonly estimated that most people these days have at a bare minimum, six hours of exposure to computer screens, which is continuing to rise as time goes on.
One solid way to prevent damage to your eyes is to simply get a hold of glasses that reflect 100% of blue light and UV light, which can be be acquired by talking to your doc, or an optometrist.
Which, is something I aim to do at the moment since every form of light hurts me.
Cheers folks.

Planning a week is not in my repitoire of things to do. Nor is it in me to uphold said plans. I've just gotta roll with the punches as they come.
That and I don't live much in the way of anything too exciting. I just work and that's it. You've actually gone and stumped me on this one. I can't think of anything I could do, or would even feel like pursuing. But I'll tell you what. I'll give one goal a try.

why would anyone want to be a girl tho, it's so high maintenance and pointless
also like the idea of having to tuck your dick and balls to make it look like it doesn't exist sounds really unpleasant
not to mention the fact that you'd need cosmetic surgery to undo the effects of testosterone
why would anyone want to be a guy tho
I can vouch for those sentiments.
The expectations and responsibilities placed on gentlemen can be pretty fucking shittily stacked.
Are you kidding? It's worse the other way honestly. And strangers treat you with so much more respect and decency too. I don't feel like someone's going to try to jump me when I'm walking around alone.
Also being a guy is just so...easy. And all the clothes are comfy.
Maybe that's because of where you and I live, respectively.
If you're a guy out here, and you can't physically lift your own weight, and you don't work, you get a bed reputation right quick. If you're a guy and you stray into more relaxed territory, like an artist or something like that, you're gonna get laughed at.
You're expected to practically do and shoulder everything. If you're not mechanically apt? You're backwards.
Don't like sports, hunting, drinking, and quading? You're weird. You want to sit at home and live a relaxed life? You're lazy.
You're hoping to bump into somebody who you could call a significant other, or maybe find one who's more the initiative taker? Nope, fuck you, you have to do all the legwork. You've gotta do all the chasing, you've gotta be the initiative taker.
Well I guess the city ain't so bad then, eh?
I'd rather die than live there, even still. It's a different type of bullshit no matter where you go.

Goji's point up above sums it up nicely. That and the fact that the II's all share a close bond. It's something a little more than just one of companionship or comeradship. They trust each other absolutely.
For instance. Take Chief's experience with Kurt. It's noticable that all Spartan II's have some inherent trait to them that's boosted far beyond others. John's is luck. Linda's is awareness and focus. Kelly's is speed. Fred's is hand to hand. And for Kurt, it was intuition and compassion.
A funny feeling that John at first didn't listen to, but eventually gave Kurt orders, that if he ever had that funny feeling again about a mission, to notify the others and him of it.
Most of the Spartan II's share a bond that goes beyond just physical time spent together. The fact that all of them can't hardly show social cues in their armour, but all of them know each other by sight, is another good example.
Their trust in each other is absolute, and for good reason.
True as that may be, it doesn't explain Lasky and everyone else aboard the Infinity.
What? Believing John or not believing him?
Believing him. Unlike on Requiem where he had other witnesses, and was interacting with ancient supertechnology, here His testimony was flimsy at best and even that is pushing it. I mean his mental health was shaky as was, but then he fell down into a pit, got knocked out and then woke up ranting about a long dead AI being alive on some random planet. You'd think someone would at be even a little skeptical.
Maybe after Requiem everybody started to take him a little more seriously. Let's actually think about this over the course of the series. Chief has said or done a metric fuck load of stuff that's otherwise not conventional and risky as fuck. In Halo 2, he flew a bomb by himself into a Covenant spacecraft, in the hopes of leaving it there and exiting the ship's vicinity before it killed him. In Halo 3, he pushed for going through the portal to the Ark when everybody else questioned Cortana's mental state at the hands of the Gravemind, and nobody knew what the fuck was on the other side. The only reason he was questioned in Halo 4 is because the previous captain, Del Rio, was mister wait and see. He was a cautious ship captain because the Infinity was the first and only one of it's kind along with its crew. Notice how Lasky had Chief's back and Palmer sure as fuck did nothing to stop him when it was only Del Rio who played Chief off.

Depends on how early they start. If they start the process early enough they don't develop quite so far into the masculine features.
Plus, their bits shrink a bit over time. So not all of them have to try and hide.
It's actually possible to look feminine as hell without taking cosmetic surgery. You just need to eat certain types of food, and do certain types of exercise to shift your body weight and proportions.
Until recently people didn't really get the chance to start early. But yeah you're right to a certain extent. Still from what I've heard, voice training is a bitch.
Even that's negligible to a degree. It all really depends on the person on their respect set of variables.

A lot of games today like to be photo-realistic or hyper realistic, with sharply and clear defined graphics. Which, can't be complained about really, but I'm sure there's styles out there we haven't really looked into yet.
So post an art style or game mechanic style you'd love to see that's never been done before or is uncommon.
For me, I always love game conept art. If we're to look at things like Destiny's concept art, or any game art really, that sort of messy, undefined sketchy/painted art style just seems really nice to me, and I wonder if it's possible to implement or emmulate a graphical art style like that into a game that doesn't turn out to be cell shading.

Every day for long time now. Mostly everything's just a shade of grey to me, if we're going to be poetic here. Not much has any meaning or interest. Nothing has any weight, or pull to it. It's all just sort of there.
It's not that I can't feel stuff either. Just whatever I feel fades quickly. It's like blowing a candle out. Poof. One second you've got all this colour and life, right there in front of you, and then it just fades and dies, landing me back in square one, here.
It's actually tiring, if I think about it. I don't want to see anything interesting if it's just going to be crushed and snuffed out like that.
So yeah. There's your answer.
im just getting memories of old times i used to enjoy
Oh. Well, nostalgia's no fun either. I can't blame you for that one. I'm actually kind of glad that I've got some holes in my memory. The old better times can come up to visit me if I don't remember them.
yea, my short term memory is really bad, but having a better long term memory really gets to me a lot. i dislike the past, whether good or bad.
Nothing I can really help with or say to help there other than trying to remind yourself that what's done is done and that there's no point in dwelling on it. Discard it and focus on something else if you can.

I pay no mind that because I've been around shorter people before. Specifically ones who could take all that shit flinging that goes around about height and mop the floor with it.
I think it's just some internet meme fad bullshit circulating around with retarded kids.
Your height literally means almost nothing, except for being able to reach either high or low places. That's it.

And now that you have downtime from it, you want it back, but you're just stuck doing something mundane.

I think that's primarily for two reasons. The gender change followed by more hurt or suicide.
For one thing, most people don't accept it. And they actively most likely shun it. Waking up every day to be told that whatever move you make is wrong, is crushing.
Second, a lot of trans folks are unstable by default. When their body undergoes doses and switching of hormones, the hormones clash, basically, adding a hell of a lot more fuel to the unstable fire. There's an end process to the trans process that removes or basically makes their default set of sexual organs null, which means that they no longer have the hormones clashing and only one predominant set in them. But most don't tend to go for that because it's a difficult fucking choice.
So, where does that land us?
In the neurological hardwiring of the brain area. You can't convince a trans person to just switch that feeling off. We don't have the understanding of how our brains are hardwired to things like that, and we sure as hell don't have the means to tinker, and change that, without harming somebody or having it considered as unethical.
So the only real path for them at the moment, is that gauntlet to run. It's not a very pretty one either, because like you said, a lot of them don't make it through, and some who get to the end are still, not better off.
Personally, I think the best we can aim for, is an easier process of conversion. We'll probably develop technology to change body parts and stuff like that faster than we'll understand how to tinker with our brains. If we eventually streamline a way to change body parts, through cloning and grafting and such, then the process will move much quicker.
And if somebody gets to the end process, and doesn't like the result, then likewise, they could turn back a lot easier as well.
In the near future, that's the best I can see happening. I don't see us cracking how and why our brains function the way they do, and then altering them, in any way for a long time.
