I liked all the members of Osiris. Tanaka ended up a lot more interesting in the game than she was in the comics. Vale is just awesome anyway, as is Buck. Locke was the only weak link, really, and he was still better than Bungie-era Chief so...

I honestly prefer that Thorne is with Majestic. Him, Ray and Grant have the potential to become actually somewhat interesting characters in the future.

Says Bacon as Thorne is chased through a swamp by a lone jackal.

A convenient detail a lot of people don't mention is that he's survived a spaceship falling from orbit then got shot repeatedly by a needler. He's not exactly in top fighting shape right now.

So he's got the energy to expend in running away from said lone jackal while his suit fails at injecting biofoam like it should normally be doing, rather than closing the distance to said lone jackal and snapping its paper thin neck.

K.
in a super bad way
his suit is fucked
jackals are pretty deadly

it isn't that out there

To be fair, it's not that out there.

But this is like shit you'd expect a standard marine to have to deal with. Not a Spartan. Granted, Thorne's a IV. But even then, he's still a spartan.

Fuck, that's not even marine tier at this point. There's been lone marines who've taken on worse circumstances and either put up a decent fight before they died or even came through it all.

To be honest, that's pretty tame compared to a lot of other shit that happened in this arc

Like

Halsey hacking a contender-class AI. Aka the same type of AI as mendicant bias

And it wasn't allowed by the AI either, because he later expresses shock at being hacked

Let that play around in your mind for a bit and Thorne's jackal situation is pretty tame

It's always the tame shit that's the lamest.

God Hacks Halsey is just outrageous.

Psyche's a borderline robophile.
I am borderline many things, but that is not one of them.

Haha bitches, first reply.

See. He picked me first. That means I struck the most neural activity with him.

Which also concludes that he's rabidly defending his secret fetish.

Pop in the odd time but it should not your priority
Nice avatar... why did you switch to fox?
He's a furry. It's his fursona.
and I am not.  Why do you assume shit like this?
Only furries do things like that.

Therefore, you are a furry.
So if I had a photo of a  my car or my pet dog your start assuming. I believe you just put 2 and 2 together.

XSEAN + photo of animal= Furry

It's sad really. Your simple mind must find fault in a person you have never met or affected your life in anyway?

It's it jealousy?
Ignorance?
or just a little man hoping on the bandwagon to prove to his fellow user I have a big dick guys.

It's okay, slick.

Jim's a MILF Hunter and I'm a dead guy.

You being a furry ain't exactly outlandish here.
No it's not

I hate been knowned as the furry guy. There are far worse one here. I refuse the title.

If you want I could just start reffering to you as "That guy who misspells shit all the time."

Everybody here has a moniker of some sort given to them by other folks.

You just gotta roll with it. Doesn't matter if it came from humor or something offensive at one point. There's no changing it once it sticks. The more you fight it, the more folks will casually use it.

I can practically hear the SJW's in the distance quivering in excitement as they lavishly lick their keyboards, ready to claim with absolute authority what counts as offensive.

I don't have any real physical standards at this point.

I'm just asking for somebody with a decent head on their shoulders. And that they keep in decent physical health.

I've found neither.

Alas, the train derailed from the tracks.

Tis a sad thing.
Much like Roman's life

Allow me to put on my douchebag hat for a moment.

The difference though, is that like any old train derail, Roman's life can be set right upon the track again.

While said furry creatures cannot be fixed or set right again.

Furries go to hell.

Was anybody else getting some BioShock vibes from the Campaign, specifically Sloan's character?

So I wasn't alone in that when I heard sloan talk?

Cause fuck did I ever get Atlas vibes from his voice. And his glitchy muscular man hologram didn't help either.

« on: November 23, 2015, 09:50:58 AM »
There's something you missed though. The kids shooting up the place are in the wrong. See, just because you go through less than peachy circumstances, doesn't mean that you have to take it out on everyone around you.

The funny thing is, that's probably why there's so many shit people out there in the world. It's a never ending chain of ripples. One shitty person mad at the world does shit things to other people around them and only helps create more shitty people as a result.

You know there are far more constructive ways to deal with school if you don't enjoy it?

Like walking away.

I would've preferred thorne over tanaka tbh fam imo

You know, that actually might've worked better. Thorne probably would have had or should I say, could, have an interesting dynamic with Buck.

Serious / Re: SQM: Is committing crime okay if you can get away with it?
« on: November 23, 2015, 12:27:25 AM »
Now, this is less related to laws but the concept is still the same here Verb.

A colony of carpenter ants moves into your house. If you let them sit there, they will destroy your entire house, because that's what carpenter ants do.

So what are you going to do? You have two options at this point.

Move away. Which means that you're only dropping the problem of a carpenter ant infested house on somebody else's plate.

Or kill them via poison to protect your house.

Except that you're not exactly protecting your house. The ants themselves are only doing what comes naturally to them. Making their home in wood.

Are you right in doing so? No. I would say as such, at least. But there it is. You made the choice regardless of whether it was right or wrong. And, other people might view it as right or wrong. So when it comes to laws, my stance is the same.

I'll break what laws I break because I choose to. I'll do wrong where I do wrong in the eyes of others. And I'll remember, that maybe, I'm not right in doing so. I can't escape it. Neither can you. Nobody can.

So, to reiterate my statement to your question.

No. It's not okay.

No.
Even piracy? Drinking underage? Jay-walking?

these are crimes, and they're crimes for a reason

you see, this kind of takes it back to the conversation we had about which laws are worth following and whatnot
obviously, i believe that 99% of the laws we have, we should follow them--you had some other thoughts, if you recall

Poor job of describing things in the first post. Essentially, my view is this. I'll look at some laws, and see where they hinder people uneccessarily. At which point I choose to break what laws I break.

I personally don't believe I somehow have moral highground because of my views. I understand that I could be wrong in my views and actions. At which point I accept the responsibility for them and the potential consequences.

Basically, I do what I do, and will continue to do so because of what I see as flawed. I might not be right. But if that's the case, somebody, or something, is welcome to stop me if they view me as morally corrupt or wrong.

I take this stance because we all commit wrongdoings. Nobody is abstained from it. Sometimes we commit wrongs without even knowing that we did.

For example. You step on a bug going down the sidewalk. You didn't see it. But there it is anyway. You've just gone up and killed something because you failed to see it. And you're always going to kill something no matter where you step. Even if you're careful.

But does it make it right? Does it abstain you? No. It doesn't.

Why are you contemplating on leaving? Also what your dad said to you was low and you should kick him in the knads.
No, he's right. I've only been working three days a week for a long time. I just don't know what to do with my life. I applied to a teaching masters program because I don't know what else to do. And I need a plan B. I graduated June 2014 and am still working in retail, so my dad is right that I'm a failure. And I'm very boring, all I have to talk about are video games, TV, shows, and movies. No wonder the last girl didn't see it going anywhere. She traveled to all these places and lived all around the world and probably thought I was a loser because I haven't, and because of the job I work.

Today I was so depressed all I did was drink until I passed out and achieved nothing.

Word of advice slick.

Getting a job doesn't mean much. I work 7 days a week 24/7 and I'm in the same boat as you. Jobs aren't your main answer. They're only good if you want to make some money.

Interest is your key. Passion for something.
