I got bored so in big team I have been writing profanities on all the walls and ramps with bullets lol

Does big team have only one map?

Because I've played on that god awful fucking ugly ass snowy map for the billionth time already and I want to gouge my fucking eyes out whenever it comes up.

Like fuck me that's an ugly map. Plays like shit too.

Or a hill. A slight incline. Anything that goes up really.
The Scorpion handles as shittily as it has done for years

Aha. Halo 3 scorpion was best. That thing could fucking climb I tell you what. I remember camping on a rock wall on Vallhalla at the back of the base, being able to see across the entire map because I was parked so high, almost at a 90% vertical angle.

>make the franchise just books

lmao

no

Well, they're gonna run out of ideas eventually. They can't keep rehashing the same old multiplayer. So they're gonna try and find new ways to sell it. That's gonna get a little ridiculous over time. And they keep dropping the ball on the campaigns.
You think this is dropping the ball?

Take a gander over at Reach and Halo 3...

Halo 5 may not be the best story in the franchise, but it's competent and well executed.

Oh yeah, I love how the scorpion is literally a rolling piece of shit now. So slow that you can outwalk it. And poor map design leaving bottlenecks so that the damn thing gets cluster fucked or highjacked. At this point it's basically a giant sniper rifle on treads.

Hilarious actually.
Something might be wrong with your controller actually. Scorpions outrun a Spartan sprinting at full speed in Halo 5.

This is on flat terrain. Scorpions are piss poor climbers now. If there's a pebble in the road it's gonna slow down. I've tested it with friends. They barely outrun a Spartan. So any incline whatsoever, and the vehicle is fucked.
If by pebble, you mean large rock, then yes.

Or a hill. A slight incline. Anything that goes up really.

The only thing that never made sense to me was that Sidious was, for all intents and purposes, defeated by Mace Windu. He was just about to kill him, then Anakin went full retard and ruined everything about literally anything. So why couldn't Yoda have done anything better? Mace wasn't more skilled than Yoda.
Mace was definitely a better duelist than Yoda. IMO, Yoda never should have used a lightsaber, since we've seen time and time again in the EU that there's a lot more to the Jedi than flips and lightsabers and throwing shit with the force.
I feel like that honestly doesn't make any sense.

Yoda is 900 years old. He should definitely be a better duelist than Windu.

The Jedi all vary. You're thinking of it like skills. The guy at the top has five star everything. That's not how it works with Jedi, or even the Sith.

Windu had an aggressive, and very rare combat form. He created it and was essentially, the master of it. Windu, also had the ability to sense shatter points, something no other Jedi had.

All the Jedi on the council were powerful in their own ways. Take a look at Obi-Wan and Qui-gon. These two figured out how to preserve themselves in the force, long before Yoda did. So there's a lot of variables as to why a Jedi is considered a master.

I'm actually just curious as to why I'd be on the list at all. I don't even have a level of fighting expertise man. I'm physically strong. But I've avoided 90% of all the fights in my life so far by using my head and talking. Not throwing somebody around to the next province.

And I ain't gonna fool myself into thinking that just cause I'm strong that I'd be a good fighter. I could probably put up a fight. But I've got no experience otherwise.

Your persona online makes you seem like you have survival experience, living in secluded areas and such. That's all we can base it on.

Which is fair I guess. I'm used to harsh climates. But I've only ever been in a handful of fights before. Talked my way out of some. I'm reluctant to fight if I can avoid it. I know really basic level stuff when it comes to defense or offense. The offensive stuff that was taught to me is meant to end a fight as quick as possible.

Which means that it hurts, or is seriously dangerous to use on somebody. And I guess I've got my own strength too. Which is another thing I don't quite know in full capacity. And I'm not eager to find out by getting pissed off in a fight with somebody.

If he's put in a warm climate, he'll probably die from heatstroke in minutes.

I went through the whole summer okay. We had a drought even. Bone dry rivers. I don't like the heat but I'm not one to sit down even if it wants to knock me out a bit.

The Flood / Re: how do you feel about tattoos
« on: November 28, 2015, 01:30:43 PM »
I'm kinda half and half on it. In most cases, people overdo it a bit. Or they pick some ugly ass fucking tattoo that doesn't match. But there's a few I'm occasionally keen on.

Full body ones, when done right, look pretty damn stunning. And I think it deserves a little bit of recognition. Both in part for the person who decided to basically make an irreversible change to their body, and for picking such a design. And of course, the tattoo artist(s) themselves who had the skill to make it all work.

I guess it more comes down to the people. Some people just naturally look better under certain circumstances when applying styles. Kinda like how one person might look better with short hair over long hair. Or with a certain type of beard.

I'm half and half on the multiplayer as well. It's kinda fun. But at the same time, kinda not.

It's quick and fluid, I'll give it that. Most of the weapons are good for something. Spawns are terrible though. The forge maps are ugly as sin.

Warzone is okay on paper.

Played a little more of Halo 5. One thing I can say I appreciate is their art direction for the campaign. Like damn they put their A game into it. It's such a shame though. The more I went along in the campaign, the more I was just sort of left with a feeling of really wanting it to be good.

It seems like for every good thing there was, there was some dopey decision made to counteract it.

To me, part of the game feels tacked on. You could cut away all the missions related to Cortana, and you'd instead be left with a game based around how the galaxy is changing, with the political ball game on Sanghelios, Humanity making efforts to re-expand on old worlds, and so on.

And it would've felt like more was accomplished. But instead we've got a whitewash over basically everything Halo 4 pulled. Didact returns and claims the Forerunners are returning, sounding more like an omen than a good thing. Cortana dies at the end of the game.

And Halo 5 just drops it. Cortana magically ends up on Genesis because the Mantle's approach went into slipspace, or somehow managed to, conveniantly after it was gutted by a nuclear explosion. The Forerunner activity isn't the result of the Forerunners, just Cortana.

And the shittiest part about it all, is that now we're stuck with that jarring ass writing and story direction.

Halo 5 to me is basically just an almost good game. So close. So, far.

I'd at least make things entertaining before going down. Anybody below 200 pounds I could pick up and use as a weapon.

The dead people throughout the fight area would make decent sources. Although they'd have to be a little lighter maybe, since dead weight is notoriously heavy and awkward.

genius. thanks for giving me the advantage. im coming for that canadian ass

I don't explicitely gotta use people. I'm just saying. I'd at least make things entertaining. I could always just pick up and use whatever else there was too.

« on: November 28, 2015, 12:41:26 AM »
Am I flustered?

Like I said, you don't have a choice in he matter. Humans are evolutionarily hardwired to fear dying. You can feel comfort now by seeing it as an end to the stresses of life, but you can't shut out the physiological response of it.
I don't consider my hardwiring a part of me. I'm "hardwired" to like sex, but do I actually like sex? No.

inb4butyou'reavirgin

You may or may not like it if you had it, however. Depending on the circumstances, at least.

But, we can add to that little original statement because not every person is wired identically. You can get folks who exist outside of norms for the bulk population. Hence why we get so many variations of people.

But inverted is the more intuitive setup ;-;

You know things are bad when fucking Midget talks common sense.

Midget is actually a fairly intelligent guy when you talk with him one on one.

Of that I'm aware of.

Midget on the forums is just usually shuffle and dance. Which is why it's bad if he ever starts talking common sense. Somebody broke his dance routine hard enough for him to actually say something constructive.

Serious / Re: When does a "child" become responsible for their actions?
« on: November 26, 2015, 02:21:07 PM »
Really hard to tell in some cases.

You get kids who hit the off switch early and do something terrible like intentionally killing another kid or their parents.

You can't set an age bar that generalizes people, because people all develop differently. So people age faster, mentally. They seem much older than they really are. And likewise, you can have older people with "childish" brains, so to speak.

Are as far as your question goes, it all depends on the case, and the mental structure of the individual in question.

Got me there. I loved walking around the town on Meridian as well.

Like fuck me, if they made a Halo game where all you do is wander around alien or human colonies and just watch and listen or talk to everybody and explore, I'd enjoy it. Something really nice about seeing some actual living presence to places.

Your dad sounds like an ass, tell him you're a the result of his parenting.  If that doesn't shut him up you cuck his wife
i couldn't think of anything more pathetic.

"I'm a loser and it's your fault, not mine."

If you're a loser, it's your own fault, and no amount of blaming everything other than yourself will change a thing.

No, but you do know it does something for Roman right?

There's a FUCK ton of mental related links and issues that kids have with their parents. The fact that Roman's dad, bitching at him, rather than acting like a decent fucking human being and what a family member should be, is, and likely has left him with an inferiority complex and low self esteem.

It's not so much about blaming his dad, as it is standing up to him.

If you can learn to stand up to your father, no matter how shitty he is, and say "NO, fuck you, you're the one that's fucked, and I'm going to do better than you, and be better than you what you made me," then it breaks a strangle hold and a mental block.

It's like getting rid of an anvil strapped to your back.
