I think I spent too much time playing fallout or reading through memeposters and their shit.
I only associate the colour red with "communist scum." If I'm on blue team half of my callouts will consist of "There's red communist scum in the base." I don't remember when I stopped watching the show, either. 156

If it saves a life or serves a purpose then you could paint the fucking thing pink for all I care.
Once you've got the functionality working, then you can focus on and put that special little "this saves lives AND looks cool" touch to things. 157
Serious / Re: The cult of Equality« on: March 30, 2016, 12:46:57 AM »
It may be a fact that everybody's all different in terms of strengths and weaknesses and qualities.
Here's the real truth. No matter how much our qualities vary, every last one of us is human. We all belong to the same species. We all have common ground and a root at our core. There is no human out there that likewise, can't relate to another human in some way because we all share similar experiences. And, ultimately, no matter how good or bad you are, how rich or how poor, how smart or dumb, however sick or healthy, you are born. And you can't outrun death. Nobody can. We're all born, and we all die. Which means that all of us share a limited amount of time together. We're all equal in that regard. And as such, while we're alive, we should strive for an equal and level playing field for people as best we can. Assume that you only get one shot at your life. It wouldn't be, and it's not fair that your one chance is wasted or mired in bullshit in spite of bad dice rolls or even other people being cunts to you because they somehow believe they're above you, when at the end of everything, we all go anyway. We're not born equal but we sure as fuck equally die. 158

America wouldn't be the root and only practicioner of the whole lot. They merely adopted it. But Britain? They were born with it. Molded by it. 159

Obviously there's a little more wiggle room than "You don't feel like working, okay, we'll just kill you." Now it's just, "Don't feel like working? Go homeless and lose access to all the pretty shit." Maybe that's why american pop culture worships slave holders. Huh, go figure. 160

They might've been comparitively civilised for the age at the time when compared to everybody else.

It'd be cool if they'd make a trenchy, cover filled WW styled map involving tank combat.
One of the things that I still like about the game is Tank VS Tank combat. Three hits and you're done. If your tank has already taken hits that means you have to play extremely tactical and for me, one of the best feelings in the game is to outplay another scorpion or wraith driver when I'm on fire and they're at full health. If there was a map based around that I'd be all for it. 163

At full force with no protection? No, but I have taken enough damage to have to take a break for a short while a few times when having a jock strap on. No, the plexus. Lumbar plexus are the nerves on the side of your body above your hip bones. They're a nasty place to get hit in. I mean the balls sucks too, obviously. That's usually an instant KO for just about any guy. But the lumbar area fucking hurts if somebody knows where to hit. 165

It's not that the martial arts are fake, it's that people mistake them for what they are.
They're called martial arts for a very specific reason. However, some of what they teach does have practical applications that you can use in regular dusty old day to day fighting. So. Here's a question off the top of my head. You ever been hit in the plexes? 170

Don't break out the pitchforks here. But I was just doing some thinking. As I read over the article, something occurred to me. The very sad usage of the word "hero." It's not undeserved for what the guy did. And I wouldn't argue that he's not a hero.
But I don't enjoy how easily the word or title is slapped on by the media or the government. Somebody dies these days, and they'll likely be called a hero if they were killed by somebody else. And I think it's sad how meaningless it is. The only people who really are going to remember that person, are the close circle of people who knew them. The only people who will remember them long after the media has done its drivel and shared the news around the world, long after their government put out a statement and held some kind of commemoration, will be that close circle of people. It's sad to me because it seems so.....orderly. "Oh x person died from x cause, they're a hero. Terrible news, sorry to the family for their loss, yada yada okay bye now." And then that hero effectively dissappears and is largely forgotten while the people who cared for them are just left to wander on. We've got graveyards and mountains of bodies worth of people who were all claimed as heroes and then casually forgotten over time. And all the while, people continue to remain ignorant to what and why those people died for and continue to perpetrate a seemingly endless cycle of stupidity and violence while it's the dead heroes who pay for it. 171

Can you send me air conditioning? I have the unfortunate situation of being suited to the cold but having to do demanding physical labor and endure the rising temperatures during our summers.
Frankly, this year, I don't want the amount of sunstroke I got last year. Just send me an AC unit and I'l strap it to my back. 175

I'm gonna be a cunt just this once. I write walls too. Can't help it. Just the way I write things.
But the very top of my list when writing a wall is to keep it separated and readable. It might not be readable because of it's sheer length or my scrambled off the rail thoughts. But damn will it ever look classy and cleanly separated. 176
The Flood / Re: What does "insecure" mean?« on: March 28, 2016, 08:57:19 PM »
And, now that I remember the second part of your post. Judgmental people are all sorts of things, based on how they judge and what they do with their judgments. All people judge others. It's a natural mechanism we need to survive. But you can judge others in excess. You can judge people blindly. You can be overly judgemental and critical of people.
And, yes, judgmental people can be insecure. This relates to what I said up above about insecurity manifesting itself in different ways. Case and point, for a loose example, closet homophobes. 177
The Flood / Re: What does "insecure" mean?« on: March 28, 2016, 08:51:31 PM »
Insecurity has borders across all spectrums of people's thoughts and emotions. But the core of it is this alone.
Inside a person's own head, whether it's known or buried deep in their sub-conscious, that person, in some way feels invalidated with themselves and has a deep need to try and make themselves feel valid. That invalidation manifests itself in so many ways among people though. Which is why in some cases, insecurity can be hard to spot because its lines blur with so many common things that people do. It has a root cause but not a root outcome. 178

Well, see, they actually know where some of the heavier ISIS bases are. But due to all the air traffic from other countries playing ring around the rosie and taking turns bombing patches of nothing, those bases are still just sitting out there.
Maybe I'm out of date and they did hit the bases some time back. Even still whatever operation is pulled over there it's a fucking mess. A sweep job would probably get ugly real fast, even if you were kind enough to give a warning. I guess my brain turned off for a bit there. I missed the end section of the title. Honestly, I figure if you're going to fight or find ISIS holdouts in modern places, you need to do what they do. Infiltration and sleeper agents. 180
