Which is precisely why we should die, you see? It's not worth the effort. It just isn't.

And, when you think about it, technically we all die anyway. It's not something you can really avoid. I can't refute that and say "oh geez we shouldn't die" because it is going to happen at some point anyway. If you don't die of old age it might be through some outside factor.

And regardless of small time factors like diseases and shit, one day a giant rock might put the slam dunk on our planet. Our sun will expand eventually. It might shoot out a burst of radiation our magnetic field and various protective layers can't handle. You name it. It'll happen some day.

Which essentially makes your belief just a shortcut really.

I don't buy the nothingness card though. And I sure as hell don't buy the perfection card either.

We could probably and potentially do a lot of things in the next century if we put our heads in the game. But that's not the way the game works, sadly. Or at least, silly old people.
Which is precisely why we should die, you see? It's not worth the effort. It just isn't.

I don't know what you mean by "I don't buy the nothingness card." You think there's an afterlife?

The fact that there is no "perfection card" is part of the whole problem.

First part comes down to personal perception on things.

And I hesitate to call it an afterlife. When I eventually die, I don't think I'm just gonna pop up on some astral plane somewhere being the same person I am now. I don't really think there's anything I could say to describe it because I don't know what would. But I don't think it's "empty" nothing. I think it's something nobody's really expecting. And I think people are ignorant if they think it's something peachy like heaven or some dark void devoid of anything.

And people in general are fools for thinking that what they see in front of them is all there is to it. We're a setup of complex physical systems yet we're still primitive. We're so "locked" to the physical, if you will.

Hell, look at our universe. It showed up from an explosion that came from nothing, supposedly. So if our universe can pull a magic trick like that, then honestly, I'm left seriously doubting that what if anything, on the other side of living is even understandable to us until we get there.

unfortunately we're probably several billion years off from reaching our evolutionary height.
We could achieve it within the next century if everyone stopped reproducing.

Nothingness is indistinguishable from total utopic perfection.

Which is kind of debatable because pain tolerance is a thing. And, for whatever reasons, sometimes pain is the thing that pulls people through. Gives them that last sort of fighting push to keep going.
Which is still shit design. Pain shouldn't be what pulls you through. It would be better if pleasure did that.

Quote
For instance, look at people who go bezerk. Whether it be old time bezerkers, people hopped up on drugs, or somebody who's just genuinely living in a constant minor state of "I want to kill everything" anger. Those people feel pain but they don't register it or care.

And boy does it ever make them productive from the standpoint of not getting incapacitated.
Yeah, and what a valuable thing to have. People going berserk and killing each other.

I wasn't neccessarily advocating on the beserking parts. Just the general inability to be phased by pain. And while yeah, it'd be peachy if feeling peachy could get your job done for you, but unfortunately we're probably several billion years off from reaching our evolutionary height.

I mean hey, we're still primitive as fuck. Advanced in all the mechanics and such. But still changing and needing to change.

>pain is a good thing

Ender just stop, lol
She's looking at it from a practical perspective. Practically speaking, it makes sense to have a sensation that stops us from doing harmful things. When you carelessly put your hand on a hot stove on accident (bad example but whatever), it would be useful to have your body yell at you with, "HEY. YOU'RE GONNA BURN YOU'RE HAND OFF."

As far as pain making it more difficult to put yourself out of bad positions, though? That's shit design.

I'm not sure these days. I'm finding it harder and harder to talk to people. There's nothing for me to say and almost nothing that I'd like to listen to from people. There's only a handful of folks I stick it out for.

Then again, sometimes there's dead spots in the day where I'm working but can't really start anything else so all I can do is stop buy here in little free spots of time.

I appreiate the place being here though. Although I miss when this place didn't have to exist because our previous residence wasn't shit.

This is just a quick snippet from some miscellaneous stuff I was tinkering with. I finally figured out how to use a combination of filters in clunky old Gmod, and combine them with just a slight touch of post editing to make something look interesting. A blend of half painted, half digital content.

I'm quite happy with it.

I don't have any music to play. And I'm not exactly interested in listenin to it either. Musical moods are rare for me.
it's more about the company, man

you don't even need to play anything or listen, just mute the stream and chat

I don't talk much either. I never liked chats cause I don't have anything to say. And I never really was a fan of sitting around watching other people talk either.

What is that in my left hand, you say? Nothing at all? FUCKING INVISIBLE ZWEIHANDER TO THE FACE YOU CUNT.

Good job m8. Have fun making people's day in pvp shitty.
Thanks. Gonna finish up the optional areas first, get the build I want and then do a no bonfire run on NG+ to get the other illusory ring as well. Then it's pvp time.

99 str dual greatswords powerstanced m8. You've gotta try it once.
I just might thanks to soul vessels.

The most important thing about that build is stamina, and just enough carry capacity so that you can fat roll with rebels greatshield, the two greatswords, and turtle armour.

Rebel's is neccessary for spell cunts, turtle armour is neccessary because the two swords leave wide windows for backstabs if you miss.

And fat rolling with high adp so those i-frames cover your fat ass and make everybody rage for days.

Bonus rage points for wearing the Mask of Pharros.

This build is essentially giant dad 2.0. I don't care how trash the poise system is in souls II.

You don't recover from power stanced greatswords.

1121

If if we're adding pointers, it should be noted that humanity has several stats that are never ever listed anywhere whatsoever.

Used humanity that sits in your counter gives you some bonuses. For every humanity up to ten in your counter, you get a boost to luck, which is your item drop rate. It'll help you find things from enemies.

For every humanity up to 99 humanity which is the max, you get a bonus to curse resistance, which while not encountered often, is something you don't want to happen to you.

I know a certain someone might joke that warzone would be better if it was removed from the game. But you know what it needs?

Fucking gear specific req packs. The req system in itself is basically almost identical to Mass Effect 3's weapon packs.

Bronze, Silver, and Gold packs, while Mass Effect 3 went up to Platinum. But it also did something else. There were certain packs released into the game that had higher chances of unlocking certain things, like weapons, or characters, or gear.

The same system could easily be implemented into Galo 5. You like vehicles? Put out a req pack with higher chances of unlocking vehicles. You like cosmetics? Put a req pack in with higher chances and more unlock slots available. You like weapons? Req pack.

But that means 343i would have to be competent
Somewhere in an alternate universe, there's a 343 that doesn't suck.
343 Legit just released a pack for vehicles. So.... Yeah I think they are testing stuff like that out right now. Hopefully people will be able to buy them with points rather than just money soon.

It is 6 dollar.

I can't wait for warzone to be flooded with ONI scorpions.
So you ask for gear specific packs... And then complain about getting gear specific packs...

wat

I'm just saying is all. With my luck I'll drop five bucks on that pack and get that last woodland warthog I'm missing while everybody else gets something nice.

I mean it's half nice that they added a pack like that. But I really don't dig fucking random drop systems.

I got fucked over enough in mass effect 3 as it was.

Not that anyone cares, but we're close to finishing this. I died on the run I was talking about in this thread, but I only have 3 bosses to go now. Just killed Guardian Dragon, so now there's Giant Lord, Watcher / Defender and Nashandra left. Give me good energy people. >_>

I'd reccommend that the first thing you do is get the watcher and defender out of the way first. That way, when it comes time, you only have to fight Nashandra rather than going through a gauntlet of bosses. They're the shittiest bosses in the game, I know, but trust me, taking them out first will save you in the long run.

I never really got into it mainly because of how turntable it can commonly be. I don't really have a preference to art styles but what bugs me is practically how bi-polar it can be. You can be in a serious section in one part and then have it suddenly spiral into lol wut in the next five seconds.

That's not to say that there's not bi-polar ones out there, but the genre itself seems to really commonly fall into tropes and things that have been done over and over to death. "Fluffy" type anime just isn't my style and neither is too "dark and edgy like my soul."

There just never really seems to be a good middle ground between the two.

I dunno if he's actually gonna go to the basement. Havel's not too bad if you keep poking him with a Gold Pine Resin'd Spear.

You say that like Havel will even flinch. That's what's going to happen to Verb. If he doesn't get flat out crushed from a blow he'll go to counter Havel with a poke and then learn that boulders can't get stun locked.

Okay, so a friend of mine is getting fed up of opening gold packs and getting shit. So he's asked me to do some math. Silver packs are two guarunteed permanent unlocks and can unlock as far as rare quality. Gold packs are the same but can unlock shit beyond ultra rare quality. Here we go.

So, here's the math on the exact number of silver packs you'll need to buy in order to unlock every permanent unlock below ultra rare level, followed buy gold packs.

Silver pack Purchases Needed: 331

Gold Pack Purchases Needed : 197

Grand Total of Purchases needed: 528

Now, let's do some bonus math. Let's say that every day you buy 4 silver packs. How long will it take you to unlock all the usless shit you don't want? It'll take you 82 days.

How about two gold packs per day? 98 days.

How about if you just buy gold packs and desperately hope you'll unlock good shit instead of useless shit? 264 days.

How many Req points are needed to buy all the silvers? 1,655,000.

How about gold? 1,970,000.

Grand total of req points currently stands at 3,625,000

Cheers folks. I hope I crushed whatever enthusiasm there was left to be had.

This logic is so retarded. You can have unhealthy doctors. You can have unhealthy health ministers. You don't need to practice what you preach to be able to preach well.

Then that makes a pretty shitty fucking preacher if they can't follow their own advice. Kinda defeats the purpose frankly. It's like a less aggressive version of somebody giving somebody else shit for doing something and then turning around and doing the same shit they just chewed somebody out on.
How the hell does it defeat the purpose? Just because the person saying all of these truths doesn't personally follow them, doesn't mean those truths are invalid. Her job is health minister. What she does in her own personal life is no one's business.

If the person preaching the good example or trying to enforce it doesn't follow their own example then how the fuck am I supposed to take them or what they say seriously?

Did you have a fat phys-ed teacher in school? Because I sure did. And whenever he haggled the class to run faster or do something else better, the smart ass kids with a mouth always mouthed off to him. And people like me, who keep quiet, thought to themselves, "Oh well shit, why the fuck should I have to be doing this bullshit when the teacher couldn't even walk up a flight of stairs without getting winded because he's so fat?"

A legitimate preacher of anything should follow their own fucking example, because it shows that they actually care and truly believe in what they're saying enough to actively incorporate it into their life.

A health minister who's a fat fuck doesn't give two fucking shits about the health of anybody because they sure as fuck don't care about themselves to let themselves get that out of shape, and are just there to get paid and enjoy their position of esteem.

That's still Nintendo releasing it exclusively for their system. Another well known example would be Conkers Bad Fur Day, hell even Mother had a bunch of mature stuff in it.

I get how people see Nintendo as good wholesome family entertainment though, their main franchises (mario and pokemon) are all family friendly. However they aren't afraid to delve into more mature settings for their other games. Not that I'd say something like head patting is intimate in a sexual sense.
If you read the dialogue associated with the scenes, it's very clear that they're meant to create some sort of sexual heat.

"Mother sewed these clothes for me" -Takumi

These three words in conjunction with the others would literally cause Das clones and Jim clones to have meltdown orgasms.

Which there are a lot of in japan.

Hey guys remember when DLC was new content released after the game's completion that wasn't content deliberately cut and repackaged as DLC content or crappy remixes, reskins, and RNG crap?

Yeah, those were the days.

Thank you modern day AAA gaming for enhancing all of our patented gaming experiences™
That doesn't make sense. Why would 343 cut out all of this content and release it later for free? The whole thing with people going on about cut content in games like Destiny. Is that they cut the content for more profit. But, it wouldn't make sense to cut content only to release it later for free.

That's because they make money from req packs. The prize pool for some halo tournament came from the money made off req packs, which was something like a million dollars.

A couple maps were shown in pre-game footage but then were never there on release when they should have been. It's not so much cut content to a degree as it is lazy content. 343 didn't finish their fucking game.
