Never tried anything. I'm kind of hesitant to. Not because of addiction per se, but for fear that they'll change the way I want to experience something (i.e. to include a substance when possible).

Is there no better way to get there? In any case, that's a small price to pay to see a favorite group live. In my opinion, at least.

I feel obligated to like a post at the end of a conversation with another person, when I'm not the one making the last post or have already tried to.

Serious / Re: Who here has had suicidal thoughts lately?« on: February 05, 2016, 01:57:56 PM »
Sometimes I think about it and how it'd probably be easier, and how it might satisfy my curiosity about things. But on the other hand there's no guarantee I could come back here, and I'm hesitant to let myself think that this world is worth leaving. The worst that ever comes of it is temporarily increased isolation from other people, which sometimes feels good and sometimes doesn't.
Usually such thoughts come in moments of passion. Last time I was able to isolate myself healthily and for a long time was probably years ago, but I'd have to check. Actually now I kinda want to check heh. 133

Assuming it's even a probabilistic thing in the metaphysical realm. Point is, you can't anticipate anything, so if you're happy right now, might as well enjoy it while you have it. 134

Serious / Re: "The EFIList" movie« on: January 23, 2016, 09:06:49 PM »It's irresponsible to post here because you might make someone feel bad. That's like suffering right? So why are you posting?Suffering does not have to be absolute for anti-natalism to be sound. It just has to be possible. As long as it exists, it will be irresponsible to create life, because not doing so entails no risk or consequence.Because a foundational premise of anti-natalism is that suffering is always bad; this is demonstrably untrue.By the way--if you're going to make this argument, that suffering is good because humans can learn or derive wisdom from it, I could easily argue that the wisdom I have derived from the suffering that pervades our existence has manifested itself as anti-natalism. 136

"I was a liberal when I was young, therefore all young liberals will eventually be conservatives. Also I was dumb then and I'm not now so all young liberals must be dumb."
This doesn't even belong on the serious board in my opinion. 140

My family does secret Santa so people don't have to spend money on EVERYONE. Because we'd rather not. So I'm at ~$120 between gifts for a couple people.

If I were guaranteed that it wouldn't change my perspective on anything outside of the activity of smoking it then I might. But I'd be nervous that I'd hear or think of some music and find it more amazing than I ever could sober or something.
