Why do people still type the url for this site despite so many reasons not to?

It's because through all the good and bad interactions, it's been established what sort of person (you) are. Just the act of being you is enough to keep coming back. Part of this reason is why people keep arguing about their perspective on this site. It used to be about everything users thought important, but after that was well established and then a lot more, it got old. What was left? A 6 page argument about whether water is wet or not. But even that got stale, so now a bunch of users who've established themselves as characters all visit this common site where they all talk about their own things that further establishes an identity.

So what happens when someone doesn't project their identity? They feel less connected to this place if there's no real identity. If someone who has an identity stops replying, but lurks, then the identity question could come from them thinking about how they feel about certain topic or threads.

I'm sorry, I've been working 13 hours straight, my kids- they've been driving my crazy. Goo goo ga ga.

At what times have you acted like the driver?

I was at work some months ago, and this mom came in, and I didn't say much as she was thinking about which sweets to buy, but I smiled and said as little as possible. Nothing too strange, but still funny when you think about how many others have imitated the driver.

Like at work, I saw this girl hand in her resumé that I'd pass on, I looked at it inside while walking and thought "If I wanted to, I could use the information listed on here to murder her safely",  but I was too into the paper and stumbled on something. Instead of thinking something normal like "ouch" or "fuck" I kept having thoughts like "If gravity would've been deactivated for a moment this wouldn't have happened." or "If there was no friction or gravity on stairs, could you slide up on them?", "What the fuck did I ever do to deserve stumbling, I haven't stumbled in 3 months, why now?" It didn't even hurt, it was just embarrassing 'cause I know the cameras picked up on it and I just can't help but imagine my coworkers rewinding the tape and laughing.

Weird thoughts... but anyway, how's your gay been?

It feels dull, or maybe stupid. Kind of like how the Simpson turned out. It no longer does anything to my brain, I'm just watching things happen for 20 minutes, and then it's over.
