Eliab, it's about the studios and actors taking it too seriously.
Yes, comic movies are great. I love all of them. But too many (typified in the Dark Night Rises) take themselves way too seriously. They're based on comics, and are supposed to be fun.

Al Baghdadi was feeling frisky yesterday afternoon and wanted to give me head. She paced it so it took 45 minutes. She swallowed and I kept coming well after I jizzed. It was the best head I have had in 41 years.

The Deadpool movie had several layers. If all you saw was mindless violence and nudity, you missed the point.
Deadpool has always been a foil on comics taking themselves too seriously. With what Marvel and DC have been doing with the shared universes, Deadpool becomes a necessity.
If you look closely, he called out Hugh Jackman and Robert Downey Jr on becoming Wolverine and Iron Man. The sets took a shit on the concept of the shared universe. The final fight was on a decommissioned helicarrier. Hydra Bob was in it, despite Hydra being Disney's property.
Yes, the story is cliche and full of tropes, it was designed that way. The movie's cast and production crew were openly giving the finger to every comic movie out.

I feel like I've read that Captain America issue before... looks vaguely familiar.
I can say that I've never enjoyed Thor much, though. He's like... Superman, without all the things that make Superman good.
The one Korra referenced has Thor wrestling with what it means to be a god. It's actually VERY good.

A Trump supporter's keyboard wouldn't have "Truth," "Facts," "Evidence," "Hard Data," or "Rational Thoughts" on it.
No, I'm pretty sure they have those buttons. They just can't read the words

It is odd to me that it's done so well. He's a minor character in the marvel universe and even his recent popularity doesn't really account for the numbers.
It'll be interesting to see if the sequel does well or if this was just a one off.
Actually, he's been quite popular in the last ten years. He's had his own comic, several spin offs and has been front and center for every Marvel event from the Secret Invasion. Is he as popular as the main line heroes like Wolverine or the Avengers? No. But he has had his share of popularity.

The No Stairs For Work movement is an important step for people too obese to walk up stairs to get into work. Every day millions of Walmart shoppers can't get into their places of employment because they can't drive their scooters up the stairs.
Cheat is giving us a means to show them we support them.

but I realize that the quality members of the black community are few and far between.
Ever considered that this could be a result of a history of discrimination and intolerance by an oppressive system of white authority?
And my Irish ancestors were treated just as bad when they arrived in the United States.
Eventually people need to stop giving the black community that crutch. Jews turned it around. Irish turned it around. Japs turned it around. When will blacks?
That's not a fair comparison. None of them were brought here as slaves. None had a system of laws put in place for over a hundred years to keep them down. None had their entire culture stolen.

To many, his death is a good thing.
That's...pretty fucked up, though.
How many people, on the news, got on and said he deserved to die because he was a thug?
I don't know, I didn't see anything like that. Quite a few people defended use of force in a case of self defense, but that's not the same thing as saying he deserved to die because he's a thug. I'm sure a lot of them were influenced by racism. If that's so contemptible, why would you bring it up to defend the same thing about Scalia?
I'm not saying anyone deserves to die, but Scalia's rulings did harm to a lot of people. Why is his character assassination proof?

If it's for a day, don't sweat it. I caught a three day for asking Das to goos step off of a building
And I wasn't race baiting. Just making the point that too many lionize those from their " team" while asassinating the character of the other. Scalia had just as many reasons to jate him as love him. The determining factor is your political leaning. To many, his death is a good thing. I used Trayvon as an example because just smoking weed isn't reason to be bullied into a fight where the other party pusses out and pulls their gun. If character assassination is allowed, then Scalia is fair game. To many, his rulings made far more damage than any single person

Yes, because antagonizing an entire group of people and painting 'a lot of them' as racists is a sure fire way to establish your points as credible and convincing.
It's a painful subject. There isn't any other way. You have to expose it, and tgen rub people's noses in it
Racial prejudice and hatred isn't exclusive to one particular group though. Racism exists, yes, but to pin it all on 'white males' is just a juvenile way of challenging it.
White males have been historically the largest group in the USA, and hold nearly all of the wealth and power. If there is a group to start with, it's white males
Or
Or

You can start by attacking the conceptual idea of racism instead of broad church assessments on an entire demographic of people that does nothing but cause more friction between the races.
Blows my fucking mind just thinking about it.
Typical response. Solve all racism everywhere instead of fixing it at home.

If you can prove that I'm a racist I'll leave this forum forever.
Actually, I don't think you are. I think you're more of a Lenny Bruce. You take racism and make a parody of it.

Calling out most of this forum as racists is definitely a great way to start a friendly dialog about race in America.
Gotta start somewhere.

You can do this big song and dance about how we haven't changed from the slave trade era but you're convincing no one but yourself.
Literally where did I do or say ANY of that?
