I'm saying the categorisation of them as "mental" disorders as opposed to a physical aberration is an error.

John 7:24 - Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgement.

1 Corinthians 2:15 - But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

1 Corinthians 5:12-13 - For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

1 Corinthians 6:2-3 - Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?.

I guess the Bible isn't big on continuity. Also, the fact that you call homosexuality a sin is disgusting enough in itself, whether or not man can judge his countrymen.



I'm glad you posted those verses.

Leviticus was written before the New Testament. The verse from John is pretty much what i said in those Mathew verses. Now, for the Corinthians verses... the apostle Paul wrote Corinthians as a letter to the church of Corinth to instruct them not to act like the world(long story short).

and me disgusting? The bible says in Romans that being gay is a sin. that is that. I by no means hate gay people. Matter of fact some of my closest friends were gay(one went in the military the other one moved).

Also, this whole debate deviated from my original intent. WBC arent fundamentalists, due to their lack of really sharing the gospel.

If you have any questions about the bible, there is literally a preacher in the next room from me.

The bible teaches against Christians condemning others. Not supporting gay people is one thing, but actively harassing them and telling them they're gonna burn in hell is the exact opposite of what Christ teaches.

Corinthians 6:9: "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,"

Timothy 1:9-10: "Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;"

Jude 7-8: "Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities."

All from the New Testament. This is also to discount several mentions of God's wrath delivered until Sodom and Gomorrah.

Well yea, God doesn't condone sin. Sinners got to hell. I am by no means denying that. It's not mankind's place to condemn people though. Only God can pass judgement. That's where WBC is in the wrong.

Mathe7:1-5
1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.

2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

And there is literally like 20 more verses that says the same thing.

as far as the whole "telling them they're gonna burn in hell" thing goes, it's the way they do it. instead of telling them about God's gift of salvation in an ideal way. they act aggressive, thus pushing lost people away from God.
