That's why I wish it was a story based game or book series. The lore to it is too mysterious and deep for it to be handled like this. When the queen lost her locust instead of her having a fit about it she instead acted like she doesn't care. Shit like that is why I wish the lore was being handled in something else. I know there are books for the game but the more important things were being handled by the games which to me they butchered it.
I think it would be more interesting if they left most of it a mystery. I kinda hate when the lore is over-explained(halo for example)
