If it doesn't look cool, it doesn't look cool. This can affect how much you care about the outcome.
There is no tension at all in the duel in Episode IV, because the choreography is so laughably godawful, that it takes you out of the movie.
yea. people are always like "but but the story" when in fact there was little said during and before the fight to have any sort of meaning int he fight. and on a random side note. why do people complain about how the fights in the prequles had no emotions because... 1) yes they did. 2) ffs its a fight. theres no need to spill out emotions. the darth maul fight is a great example. it would be super gay is darth maul starting talking about his life problems before the attempt of his assassinations.

i really dislike how people use variations of this gif to undermine the fight and "flashiness" of the fight. like....a second later the sword come in and collide and they lock up.
I personally wasn't trying to undermine anything actually, I just used it as an excuse to post the gif. I never really had a problem with the prequels actually.
