The two don't seem to fit together and the color combination is strange. If the purple were colorless, I would probably be alright with it.

So just to be clear, what height/width/opacity?

780px X 25px. The width is oversized to fill in the space if the forum were to ever get bigger, so place all the stuff you want to be able to read/look at on the right side of the bar, since they align right.

Opacity needs to be lower than you probably think you can see it for the icon on the nameplate. And it needs to be white or shades of grey (mostly white), unless you're trying to do something like the bloody nameplate or the Swage nameplate, where the content is spread out across the entire bar.

But for standard stuff, like most of the nameplates, it's 0% opacity for the majority of the bar and 30% to 50% for the icon, which should be shaded white/grey to blend in with the color of your user bar.

I'mma take a look and see if there's any rules I can recommend.

It was visible on mobile, which it wasn't supposed to be, so I sabotaged the code to give everyone 0 trust. It's virtually impossible to edit the content/structure of the mobile app, since it's third party, so improvisation was required.

As in...transparent. The nameplates must still show (in some degree) what color your bar is underneath.

Go for it. I'd rather them not cover the whole area of the bar (like comm's) and they have to have substantially faded opacity (like 30%). It might look like it's barely there when you view the image by itself, but they show up well with the colored user bars.

Consider yourself the test subject for user-moderated nameplates, Comms. Your swage might get yanked back after a week or so.

Either give me just the bullet or take out the background yourself. Also, for icon nameplates (Thank the Maker, Community, Would You Kindly?, etc) the image should be shades of white only. They will be placed on top of the colored user bar, so lighter colors work best.

Nope. If you do it, I'll let you have it and control over who else gets it. The damn thing is actually growing on me in a strange, almost Stockholm-syndrome-like way.

I need some fresh ideas for new nameplates. Pestilence, Legendary, and Eternal are already being considered. I'm also planning on a Veteran or Grizzled nameplate for those members that were around before the switch to bungie.next.

EDIT: We're voting for nameplates now, since there are so many custom ones being designed. Post your creations here or in the other nameplate thread(s). Just make sure they're visible come Friday and I'll put them all in a poll for you people to vote on. The custom ones I've already installed are subject to the poll as well, save the mod/admin personal plates.

About 7-10 new plates will be accepted for this first round.
