I thought I'd go and check it out, so just remember people, I was there before you did.I actually used B.next to squash some bugs and make improvements when it was in Beta, so there's a chance some of you guys know of it from that as well. 4954

I'll PM you the login details. Thanks Cheat I appreciate it, would the FileZilla be better or the client version?Dude. It doesn't take hardly any effort on my part. I'll get you set up while you download FileZilla (if you don't already have it).Really? That would be great and all, but I wouldn't want to impose, especially if its any trouble for you.Well shit, I can give you a tiny subdomain of one of mine for you to fuck with if you're trying to learn this stuff.Already do, but having it actually on the internet at no cost to me would be nice.Psh. Those are client side, so all you really need is a browser and a text editor to try them out and mess around.Aw, considering I'm learning HTML 5 along with CSS it would certainly be nice practice. Is there a reason HTML is not allowed for the page?Exploits. BBCode is allowed to a degree to give you some formatting, but yeah...allowing unchecked code is not a good idea. EDIT: Forgot, your URL for the site is http://burn.blue/yutaka 4959

The Flood / Re: iwhbyd.net (have I shown you guys this?)« on: September 17, 2014, 10:03:34 PM »I don't get it.It takes really long, complex URLs (http://example.com/fucking/long/492-02348/uRL.html) and shortens them into smaller URLs so it's easier to remember them and write them down (http://iwhbyd.net/example). It also allows you to quickly, and without registering, create a password protected web page that is hosted on IWHBYD. 4965
The Flood / iwhbyd.net (have I shown you guys this?)« on: September 17, 2014, 09:51:23 PM »
IWHBYD.net
It's another one of my programming projects that I whipped up in a weekend. Basically, it shortens URLs and allows you to create text-based web pages (go to the site and click custom page at the bottom). If blinding white isn't your speed and you want to use the site to post your fanfic to or something, then go edit your page and enter in cheatyinyang into the URL field. As long as your password is correct, when the page refreshes you'll have a nice dark color to work with. Just something for you guys to chew on if you'd like. I'd also like some suggestions/bug reports as well. 4966

I just got an email back from support about the issue with the slow load times and the error message that I thought I had to share with you guys (in part). I'm not experiencing the error anymore and the load times are back to a reasonable speed, so I thought I should share it with you.
Quote Thank you for contacting support, So thanks for writing that review up, Yutaka. The review thing is working! 4969
The Flood / Re: OK... Updating my phone to iOS 8« on: September 17, 2014, 07:22:55 PM »Yeah, it's been updated before. It maybe happens...every 1 out of 30 uses, so it's not occurring often enough or long enough for me to throw it.I don't really mind all that much. It was a really good deal and the occasional glitching is entertaining when I'm trying to enter in the Wi-Fi password and my iPad decides it needs more spaces and a few random symbols. If it was new when I bought it, I would have been pissed. But it clearly said user refurbished, so... 4970

Competition breeds activity and discussion.Or we could just get rid of the ego stroking circle jerking that is nameplates and forum ranks and create a more egalitarian forum that judges it's users based on their post content as opposed to some arbitrary in group status. I know I'm going to get lynched for posting this but oh well.I almost completely concur. It's possible (and maybe even probable) that in the future the entire "customization" suite that we have here will be moved to a more "coup-like" state, where users must opt into seeing custom nameplates and colors, but they would be available to everyone who has ranked up to Member at 25 posts. 4971

If you're smart about who you buy from there, you can find good used products. 4976

If you're smart about who you buy from there, you can find good used products. But sometimes they're shit. I bought a seller-refurbished iPad mini off of eBay, and at first it worked amazingly. After a while, though, it would start to misbehave and register touches when I wasn't doing anything. I could open up Notes and the iPad would just start to type nonsense and occasionally spaz out and crash out of the app. 4977
The Flood / Re: OK... Updating my phone to iOS 8« on: September 17, 2014, 05:40:33 PM »As soon as the new iPhones drop, I predict more than a few used iPads going on the market (especially the mini). With the iPhone 6 plus screen closing the gap between old iPhone screens and the iPad mini, many people might find the old tablets a bit useless.I know. However. I choose not to Jailbreak my phone, as I already have another iOS device that's already jailbroken. 4978

You have a game, movie, tv show, or other kind of review? How about an article on something interesting? Submit the link to it here or simply post it in a new thread and tell me about it.
If it's good, it'll be moved to "News" and be on the front page. Make sure you include an image so your topic stands out. 4979

I know I'm going to get lynched for posting this but oh well. What kind of system would be better than the current one, in your opinion? The Prefix system has gone through two overhauls and several minor tweaks, and it's pretty stable right now. It takes multiple variables into account, including time online, post count, and several different combinations of Trust (positive vs negative). I'm sure it could be exploited, but what system couldn't be? The rewards for reaching high rating don't change your posting permissions or give you extra powers; they're just extra eye candy for your posts. 4980
The Flood / Re: OK... Updating my phone to iOS 8« on: September 17, 2014, 05:06:00 PM »It wasn't Evasion that made the last jailbreak, which is different from the norm. And DFU mode isn't needed (and hasn't been, since Redsn0w, I believe). The only thing you have to do is switch your time and date to allow the hack to take advantage of an exploit.Updating over the air makes it difficult for Jailbreaks to take hold. Most of the time, if you have an iOS that you've updated without a computer, trying to Jailbreak it will just brick the phone.MOTHERFUCKER!!!! |
