Nothing productive, really.

I have no idea what this is about.
I made a thread that got AdSense (old ad providers) to drop us. And Cheat made a last ditch effort to censor words so they keep us.
That wasn't the reason they dropped us, though. It was for "invalid clicks" which is bullshit, but in their terms and conditions they reserve the right to terminate an account for any reason, so...

It was a good thing in the long run. We're more free to do whatever the fuck we want and I've reached (and exceeded) the per-day earnings we had with Adsense.

It's all good, dude.
Woo! Now we make 10 cents a day. Write this day in which Gasai courageously fended off the evil overlords known as AdSense.

Pls do.
Multiply that by about 70 to 100.

Adsense sux
Yeah but Adsense doesn't give viruses
Neither does the current provider.
This is true. All the bullshit came from the provider before this one. The only problem with Sovrn (that was fixed) were the redirects.

Septagon / Re: Please explain why we can't mute mods
« on: December 17, 2014, 02:03:07 AM »
Sorry, but there needs to be a clear an unobstructed line of communication open between the mods and you. I doubt this will be changing.

What about if I accept it is 100% my fault if I end up ignoring warnings?

Fuck.
I'm sorry. On top of being extra stuff that I would have to code in to add that specific mod as an exception only to you, that would defeat the entire purpose of verbal warnings.

I know you say you'd accept it 100% if you accidentally ignored a warning, but having those kinds of holes on the forum isn't something I'm especially comfortable with.

« on: December 16, 2014, 08:42:17 PM »
How do you even get banned here? You can call people cunts and niggers with no consequence
But if you disagree with Nuka, prepare for a warning.

Please stop. This is getting annoying.

On topic: if you can see a quote button for ember, then he's just using the blacklisted nameplate as his custom plate.

Why are ppls nameplates gone?
They were too OP and I had to nerf them.

I'm glad you are enjoying it. If you'd like to keep the custom options off after your warning, you can find the tools to do so in your nameplate and look and layout preferences.

Cheers!

« on: December 16, 2014, 06:10:14 PM »
Sep7agon needs a mobile app :/

tapatalk isnt fun to use.
A mobile app isn't going to happen, but we have plans for a dedicated mobile theme once the new design is implemented.

News / Re: Get a warning, lose your custom stuff.
« on: December 16, 2014, 04:06:21 PM »
On consideration, I've allowed warned users to keep their prefix and title bar colors, but I have removed all customization options for them (including standard nameplates).
That sounds like a good idea. What about lite-baned users?
All warnings above 0% get them removed. The higher the percentage, the longer it takes for the customization ban to wear off.

EDIT: and yeah, this means the mods will need to consider giving a 0% warning before upping the level, since Watched status now carries weight in the form of customization bans.

Well, that is stupid. Also a terrible idea from Nuka. The visions of some people for this site to grow kinda diminish when shit like this comes up.
I disagree. This is the perfect punishment for warnings: it's temporary and it has no impact on your ability to post (unless you're lite-banned, of course).

That means if you see "Watched" or "Lite-Banned" under your avatar, your customization options will also be disabled for you and everyone else.
So... If one person gets warned, everyone loses custom options?
no

read it again

News / Get a warning, lose your custom stuff.
« on: December 16, 2014, 03:11:16 PM »
I've just enabled a new feature that should help persuade everyone to not be an asshole. Those of you who have a high enough Trust rating to give you custom nameplates/titlebars/etc. will have those temporarily removed when you are given a warning above 0%.

That means if you see "Watched" or "Lite-Banned" under your avatar, your customization options will also be disabled for you (and everyone else will also be unable to see your customization).

EDIT: fixed because confusion. I've also added Nuka's idea. You'll now lose your prefix/bar color (temporarily) when warned.

The Flood / Re: Cheat I accidentally clicked an ad.
« on: December 16, 2014, 01:36:49 PM »
In all honesty a click is probably less than a couple cents. 2 or 3 maybe
Clicking ups the CPM for the ads (cost per thousand impressions), so it can actually increase it by more than a few cents on a site with as many members as we have.

Septagon / Re: How many of our registered members are alts?

I could quote Psy saying 300 are Rose alts.

Spoiler
That was a joke, however, I'd wager roughly 50. If not more.
It's probably more like 150.
Rose alts, or in total?

Either way, the obsession is pathetic.
In total. There were only about 10 to 12 rose alts, I think.
