That's what I'm afraid of. With Skyrim they managed to remove more things and dumb it down even more. It's scary to think about what things they are and not are going to do with that game.

I think they would bitch about getting their asses handed to them since the AI is doing more than three types of attacks on them.

Compare this video to the 2nd video in the OP. Does this look anything like it? In that besides the magic you're just slashing the sword around. There's no depth at all to it.

honestly i cant tell the difference.
the only one from the 2nd vid that looked remotely put together, combat wise, was the black halberd knight somewhere in :40 or so.

Meh. I don't know where to set my expectations yet. Bethesda and TES have been lacking for a while now. They've had a taste of that casual money, and I easily see them going back for more.

But I still get hyped thinking about how good VI could be.

Anyway it's a fact that skyrim 2 will be better with dark souls combat. How will having a more in depth and fluid combat system be worse?
