I'm going to play it by ear, but I have a 2ms response time monitor and I'm going to either use my PC adapter from my Wii U or I'm going to just buy a GC controller with a USB on the end of it.

just an FYI, Dolphin natively supports two USB adapters for like zero lag so that might be your best bet
