Why have we not had a terminator game yet?

Like, a shooter. It seems odd with the recent trend of sci fi shooters (CoD, Star Wars, Titanfall and so forth) that we haven't got a Terminator game.

Who wants a Terminator game?

I'd like a terminator game to be decently grounded in the lore. The machines don't go down easily. But, I have thought about it before.

You know what would be really nice? A free roam open world Terminator game with RPG elements. I guess a lot like fallout. The thing that always leaves me sort of jaded about the series is how you're never exposed to the post apocalypse world. You only see it in glimpses.

And you end up with all these machines coming from various stages in Skynet's evolution that only makes me want to see the whole thing play out in full.

Actually, a metro sytle one would be cool too.

Terminator has so much to it that could be used to make a difficult, engaging, survival based game. Fucking nobody has ever done it right yet.

I don't know. I think that you could make that work as a class-based game. With canon fodder with less health and the tank class with a ton of health.

I'm a big fan of the Terminator franchise and making a game about it would be extremely difficult to get right.

Out of every Terminator game made dating back to the NES, the only one that is somewhat decent is the arcade version based on Terminator 2.
