the Xbox one is easily capable of split screen for these old ass games. It's a fucking bullshit scam

Edit: I should point out I meant campaign, I hadn't tried multiplayer before posting this

Maybe it's too graphics intensive?


They ha trouble getting H2A at 1080/60fps in single player, maybe it was causing issues.

Wern't Micro$haft bragging that the Xbone could do some kind of Eight Person Split-Screen from Hell at one point? So why does a game that got it's fucking start from Splitscreen suddenly get such a downgrade. Im glad I didn't by those other remotes today after all.

Really? Halo 2 Anniversary doesn't even look that good for next-gen. Maybe an Xbox 360 game on steroids. But I expected the Xbox One to do splitscreen on a 10-year-old game.

I just think (hope) that the real situation is just that optimization and porting is difficult and more trouble than it's worth to rewrite code to get every pixel out of the Xbox One.

Which is exactly why I would never pay twice for a game I already own. A game "exactly as it was 10 years ago" shouldn't be 60 dollars now should it?

Because Campaign has significantly more going on than a MP match.

And rendering the game 4 times would impose strict restrictions on frame rate and detail.

If the Xbox One can't run a 13 year old game split screen because of frame rate issues I'm glad I haven't bought one yet

5 games, two of which are running 2 graphic engines at the same time and who's engine can't be modified to support more than two player co-op campaign. 343 said this months ago. If you're surprised, you should keep up with a game you're interested in more. I'm also 99% certain that 3 and 4 can have 4 player co-op (if I'm wrong somebody correct me).

As well, no one is forcing you to buy it. If you don't like it, don't buy it.
