FACT: If Metroid Fusion was in a closer format to prime in terms of being 3D the SA-X segments would have been even more tense than they already were.

I just want another 2D Metroid because we haven't had one in like what, 11 years? Prime is great, but we've had one more recently. Get Nintendo's internal team on a 2D Metroid, Retro on a 3D Metroid and then everyone's happy.

If nintendo does make a new 2D I hope they manage to do something truly unique and intresting rather than the half-assed gimmick reskinned power ups they've been trying to pass as game mechanics ( I mean,f ucking stickers? are you shitting me?)

I do think 3d Metroid games have more potential. with the power ups and mechanics metroid has already it's a crying shame nintendo hasn't seen the potential for multiplayer (aside from Babies First Halo 5: Advanced Mincecraft Graphics featuring Tacked-On Space Fifa)

Imagine a competive multiplayer where players fight each other off in a maze-like stage while hunting for power ups, while using things like the morph ball and scan visor to outsmart your opponets in combat like leading them into traps or hazards.

Or imagine a Co-Op Mode designed like an even more elaborate and expansive version of Destiny-like Raids (not the shitty "story" missions but somehting like the Vault of Glass that is actualy extremely well designed) using the clasic Metroid-vania formula as the basis.
