Take Academy's lightsaber combat and apply it to the way TFU used it's force grip and lightning mechanic and you have a really good game. Obviously tone down force powers to a reasonable level, but when you compare TFU's force grip to Jedi Academy/Outcast, TFU's is obviously better.YouTubeYouTube
Bioware's new Mass Effect game seems to be losing developers in all departments so things aren't looking great for the company.
So I'm the only one here who really likes older style, turn based dice rolls in their RPGs?
Bioware's games that have turned based combat seem to be pretty shit, at least in my opinion. KoToR, TOR, Dragon Age.

KOTOR is real time combat.

When you're firing at someone that NPC takes time to avoid it and then they fire at you. What I said there would be you fire at them and when you are done firing that NPC fires back. There are some combat encounters where each person is taking a turn during attacking. But that still doesn't make it a true turn based game like Fallout 1 or 2. If it was truly a turn based game like Fallout 1 and 2 you or only one NPC at a time would have so many actions during a turn. Those actions would be counted towards either movement, combat or doing something with an item. But in KoTOR everybody is attacking or moving around at the same time instead of only one person doing an action at a time. The game is not truly a turn based game when an NPC is firing at me and I'm moving around during it.
