Batman: Arkham Knight was never a movie, though. Spider-man 2 was, but they're both still licensed games.

I mean, if you're looking for a good game based on an IP that originated on the big screen, then... I don't think there are any.

In Japan all animation is considered anime, even western cartoons. Everywhere else, though, only Japanese animation is considered anime.

There was a Madagascar game my friend and I challenged ourselves to beat in a day when we were like... 10? I don't really remember if the game was fun or if the challenge and camaraderie made the experience enjoyable.
We did beat it before bedtime though.

It's not that Western animation is "considered" anime in Japan.

That's just the only word they have to describe it with, unless they specified.

The way you phrased it makes it sound like Japanese people consider everything Japanese.
